Hermon A. MacNeil Park reviews
14I grew up one block away from this Park for 31 years. I am familiar with every inch of it! It is everyone’s escape! Walk out refreshed!
This park is in College Point Qns. It has a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline, LaGuardia Airport, & part of The Bronx. With its jungle gym, basketball & handball courts, & plenty of benches to sit, read, or just relax as you listen to the waves as they crash against the rocks, you will not want to leave this beautiful park. JM.
The bathroom here is horrible. The new People that have moved here in the past 15 years are dirtbags
Beautiful park by the river - you'll see planes taking off from Laguardia Airport, views of the Manhattan skyline, and less romantically, a view of Riker's Island. There isn't parking within the park, but I had no trouble finding parking in the surrounding neighborhood on a Friday evening.
Great kayak launch site. The walkway is narrow so it wont allow vehicles to drop, so there are no boats or jet skis to worry about.
I love this park. It's really nice being by the water and my son loves being able to see the planes take off and land. Today was very hot. Only wish there was more shade by the play area. The slides were burning in the sun. Had to just look at the water and boats for a while then leave
Very under appreciated, less crowded (hard to get to by public transportation) NYC park. Manhattan is south and the Whitestone bridge is to the north and the east river is at your feet.vey cool and scenic.
Hidden Gem. Beautiful location for sunrise and sunset views.
Good location for photos.
Need to fix the walkways as growing roots have risen the walking path.
City bus Q25 easy access for anyone getting to the park.
Need more brighter lights for the patrons as the park has various features of landscape.
The entrance to the water is wide open and it is dangerous for pets and younger children.
I am 30 years old coming to the park. But now they have made many modifications, one of the most interesting things is feeling in the middle of the beauty of nature, when exercising.
Look across the water: where are you? Where are you? You're not here and you're not there but you're clearly here but you're clearly not. Life is bewildering. Thank God it is.
Beautiful park! View of the river and planes landing at LaGuardia. Clean, not crowded, and ppl are courteous. A lot of grass space for lounging on the grass. The downside is you have to use a bus or drive to get there.
I grew up in C. Pt, and attended St. Fidelis, where we pioneered folk guitar mass in the church’s basement. I have always cherished the history of this town, and the memories of my childhood, growing up in a place where everyone knew and did for each other.
Now, I step into “Chisem’s park, and see people cluttering up the walking/running path along the water to fish, barbecuing in groups of 30+ on the grass that we were never allowed to do so, and in plain English, disregarding social rules created many years ago to keep our park beautiful!
I have no idea why things have been allowed to change so drastically. I only know that the park I used to love is now un-policed, and might as well be turned into a graveyard.
Beautiful park, fun for the whole family small park for the kids, handball and basketball courts.restrooms, etc. Wonderful view.
I love this park so much, it got a lot of walking space with 2 big play grounds, 2 sets of swing sets 1 for kids & 1 for adults. You could also walk up the grass mountain have a little picnic with the city & water view, Or even play some basketball or handball. If you want to enjoy the water they even have a kayak ramp on the east side of the park & also water sprinklers for the kids as well. Overall amazing family park. 5+ stars for sure.
