The customer service here was horrible. I was called to pick up my vehicle earlier than the reservation time, when I got there the vehicle was not ready. I was given attitude because the staff did not communicate with each other about this "early pickup" I still left the place past 4pm. HLE stands for Hertz Local Edition. This means that if you are up to 15 minutes away from them they will come out to pick you up. When I requested a pick up I was told they don't do that. On the website it clearly states they do offer it. I was given a dirty car. When I returned the car I gave it back earlier than I was supposed to, they charged me $62 because the gas was on almost full. It was missing 2 gallons. When I picked up the vehicle it was filled up to the capacity. I thought it was fair to return the way it was given. Moral of the story, don't ever rent a car from this hertz.

Tyrone and Tyrese at the front desk are so slow, and they blame the customers lol. This location needs to get shut down or at least be known to their corporate office.

I had an amazing experience with this Hertz location and would rent from them again. The customer service was really great and the prices were amazing.

Even though their stock was limited, they did a great job trying to accommodate myself and everyone else I saw there. They even offered to drive someone to another location if they had the vehicle they were looking for available, and were making phone calls to try and find what they wanted at other locations. They took me on a test drive of the Telsa I rented, since I have never driven one and showed me all of the key features. Excellent customer service and the issues they had were not the workers’ fault, it was the company’s fault.

I have been using this car rental location for five years. I live in Manhattan and even though there are closer places for me to rent cars at a similar price, I will always prefer to go to this location. Every employee I have met here is very kind and professional. I recently was helped by Lee and Tobias who were really nice and made sure I knew everything I needed to get the best experience with my car. The cars they rent are very good quality, low mileage. And the office is housed inside of a cute hotel with a clean and beautiful lobby. As long as this location remains open, I will not be purchasing a car anytime soon!

I normally brag about being in the Hertz President's Circle, but not today. While most of the staff there are friendly, efficient and profesional, the young agent behind the desk today needs a lesson or two in customer service.

I am starting to drive for Uber, made a reservation online through there site for their location, arrived only to find out they were currently giving their last Uber vehicle to someone else. I was then told by one of the employees that reservations weren't guaranteed stock availability and to call ahead next time. I've been renting cars for close to 30 years and have never heard of that.

I asked them how I was supposed to get home, and her response paraphrased was "not my problem" then she immediate ignored me and moved onto the next customer.

Wish I could give zero stars.

Staff Mr. Tobius was unprofessional by keeping me on hold for over 25 mins.and hanging up the phone on me after he was trying to help the situation. He also charged my debit card but didn't extend my rental properly in the computer so I received a late fee everyday ($76) over the weekend. I would recommend not to conduct business with him if he's there. The rest of the staff (James, Stephanie, and Chelsea) are awesome and professional.

Bad experience. Reserved online at Hertz website and paid. When pick up the car the next day, the counter lady told I have to pay more or cancel the reservation which is impossible because I dont have time. This was the worst experience I had renting a car. No wonder you see many bad reviews. Stay away if you can.

Great experience renting from Hertz the people are friendly and Will rent again from Hertz. So with everything in life if you go with a good attitude the people will also have a good attitude.
And it was not that expensive definitely will rent from Hertz 's again! ‍️‍️

This Hertz is located at a hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating to my needs. My rental was clean and I was very pleased that it was also smoke free. The return of my rental was quick and easy just as it was when I picked it up. I will definitely return to this location for my rental needs.

Don't bother. Zero stars if I could.
I called before booking my rental to confirm that I could rent a car because I was using a temporary driver's license (I had a passport, credit cards, and the old ID to confirm my identity). I was told over the phone that Hertz accepts temporary ID issued in the tri state area. I got off the phone and booked the car online.
I Ubered to the Hertz and was DENIED a rental, even though an employee at their exact same office told me it was OK to rent. They just said it was Hertz policy and gave me zero restitution to try to work out the situation when it was THEIR office that told me my documentation was fully OK. I did my due diligence and was still denied - to be clear, I did not show up demanding service. I asked first.
Here's the kicker - the person working at the counter told me to go to Enterprise across the street. That's exactly what I did, and I was in a car within 15 minutes with stellar customer service.
It's been 10+ days and I'm still fighting with Hertz to get my deposit back. I've been told I'd be called about my situation, and I don't get any follow up from them, either.
Guess I'm going to Enterprise next time I need a car - thanks, Hertz!
