The shuttle came by in a timely fashion. Things moved quickly at the rental office. Picking up the vehicle was easy. It was clean and ready to go.

Waited 25 minutes for a bus to show up at the terminal to pick us up to bring us to the rental car office, went to the area their website told us to. Finally a bus arrived and they told us we couldn’t get on the bus we had to wait for another bus to pick us up, even though there were plenty of seats on that bus. So much for being a “priority member” also waited another 10 minutes for that bus. Somehow saw the budget bus more than hertz.

My trip to hertz was quick and swift after a long day of traveling! Jalina was a great help and answered all of my questions with no issues. This is my first time renting from a Hertz location and I will definitely be back.

I rented a car and returned it with 1/4 - 1/2 a tank because I was running late for my flight. I was charged $11/gallon total $121! Part of this is my fault; however, the customer service agent who was so busy trying to upsell me could have been kind enough to mention the exorbitant gas charges and $42 airport fee. Before Covid we could see everything on the hard copy. I submitted a complaint on the survey and of course it fell on deaf ears. To add insult to injury the car wasn’t even clean when I got it. I will never use Hertz again.

They only had a single person working the counter at an airport Hertz until someone showed up after almost 10 minutes. Hertz you can do better.

Absolutely the worst car rental location I’ve ever been in. All the cars in the “Presidental Circle” were trash cars, even though it’s supposed to be the highest tier. The best we could find was a Hyundai Tucson (probably from 2015) with no Apple CarPlay, drove like a brick, randomly chokes on the highway, and didn’t have adaptive cruise control. There was also a Toyota Corolla with no backup camera, I’m not even sure it had Bluetooth. There were a couple of KIA electric vehicles but not everyone wants to look for charging stations. Overall just such poor car selection, I’ve never heard of a president circle lot with all cloth seat, old vehicles. While the ATL airport has luxury vehicles, LGA has cars you wouldn’t feel safe putting your mom into. If I wanted to drive a beater, I would’ve just paid half the price for a cheap compact car. Pretty frustrated to pay as much as I did and essentially get a bait-and-switch. I will not be a repeat customer and I do NOT recommend anyone waste their money renting from this location.

Staff was friendly and informative. Car pick up was easy peasy. You get to choose your own vehicle from a row of like 12 cars. That was fun!

I loved my Tesla rental with Hertz! The best supercharger in the area is actually near JFK, but if you charge to 85%, it will still be above 80 when you get back to LGA.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience and service at Hertz LaGuardia.

We had an issue with the driver’s name on our booking. We tried to modify the name of the booking at the depot but they weren’t able to help us in any way. We then asked for a refund of the booking, and we would make a new booking in a new driver’s name. They would not give us a refund, and they refused to rent us a car in a driver’s name who didn’t also hold a CREDIT CARD in the same name. One of our party had a credit card, but they refused to accept that as he only held a digital copy of his driver’s license. Throughout the ordeal of trying to sort this out we received different answers from different staff and a general lack of care for our situation. After spending over 2 hours inside the depot trying to work something out, it was clear Hertz were not willing to help us in any way and were more than happy to keep our money for a booking they would not honour.

We walked across the road to Avis, and were driving away in a rental car within 15 minutes of beginning the rental process. Absolutely no issue at Avis in using a DEBIT CARD or DIGITAL LICENSE, with a level of customer service that Hertz should look to if they ever try to improve.

I never expect customer service to go above and beyond, but the overall experience at HERTZ LaGuardia was that of a company who COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Never book here ever. The service was rude and didn’t want to help us.
They are a joke. Book any where Else but here.
The staff that worked there, hate their job and they willl not help.

Avas across the road is so much better.

We got stuck due to our flight delay and landed just before 1 A. M. They close by 2 A. M. Literally had to run to Hertz and even after that we were not assigned the car of our choice. Instead, we were given an electric vehicle as that was the only one available. When someone books a car, why do you ask for a choice if you are anyway going to assign a random vehicle? !
Hertz at airport locations NEVER pickup the calls, then why do you even have a phone number if you are going to ignore the calls? !

We were not explained properly about the EZ Pass thing kept in the car. Not everyone is from New York or New Jersey and understands the toll systems there. They were just focused on closing the branch at 2 a.m. And didn’t do the proper documentation for us as first time gold members. Had to return the EV next day at Newark by spoiling our plans, that was a whole different harrowing experience at EWR airport!

NEVER renting with Hertz again.

At 2am, with the line going out the door (because LaGuardia had cancelled half their flights) the manager was still very pleasant and helpful.

LGA Hertz seems to be a fairly well oiled machine, after picking up/dropping off a few times here. Experience for a gold member has been good; loyalty status recognized - name has been on the board and there has been a nice selection of vehicles. Employee might even drop you off at your terminal with a car if it’s not too busy, in case the wait for the shuttle bus is too long. Knock on wood. I haven’t picked up yet when it’s been crazy busy, but renting from Hertz, Avis, and Enterprise frequently, no company has been flawless with the unavoidable rush of customers, lines, vehicle shortages etc. Hope the positive experience continues.

Incredibly long wait at the counter. The person working was nice but did not recognize my loyalty status (president's circle, which should give me a free upgrade). In addition, upon returning the EV that I rented, I was given a final charge that included many hidden fees and a $35 refuel charge (I left the car at 75%).

Bit of shuttle ride but they're all located centrally. Too few people at counter helping but once attended, out quickly
