Hertz Car Rental - Syracuse - Nu-look Syracuse HLE

Had these clowns try and claim my own personal vehicle that is is about 15 years old with a clean title and a NYS DMV title trace show it was never owned by Hertz. Clowns had some tow company haul my car off in the middle of night (stole it). Then fail to answer any of my questions. Car was returned a day later after threatening to sue the tow company. Not sure if this location is responsible for the illegal tow or not, Hertz is. Never heard of them until a week ago. I don't travel very often or very far outside of my county.

Will not rent from Hertz again. I rent cars all the time for my business. Hertz always has issues.
This time I waited for nearly an hour by the time we got the car. But my return time was not extended. The gas was marked FULL on my contract but it was not full. The guy said it would be ok. The mileage out does not reflect the actual mileage on the car. There’s a 40 Mike discrepancy. The outside of the car was not washed. It was FILTHY from the last rental. And it smelled very HEAVILY of cigarette smoke! (Hope I don’t get charged for it upon return).
To top it all off, there’s no way to reach a live person to talk about any of this. So frustrating. I don’t have these problems renting from Budget.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with this Hertz location. Despite receiving a confirmation for my pick-up time after making an online reservation, when I arrived, they told me that they didn't have a car available. They claimed that their booking system does not work properly, but based on my experience, it seems more like a joke than a functioning system. When I asked when the rental car would be available, they had no idea. They were completely unhelpful and didn't provide any suggestions on what to do next. When I tried calling them, nobody answered and their online system was no better. It's ridiculous that customers should have to resort to popping up at their location on a daily basis just to get a rental car. I can't believe how poorly this business is managed and would strongly advise against using their services in Syracuse.

What car rental company doesn’t have a car to rent!? Rented a car from this location, but when I arrived there wasn’t any inventory. The car I rented wasn’t here…it’s now been over half an hour. Still hasn’t arrived. They said they are bringing over the car from another location and yet, the guy said he hasn’t been able to get them on the phone.

Don’t rent from here.
