Horrible High School PERIOD. If I had to describe this high school in three words it would be gloomy, terrible, dark, and depressing. I added a fourth word just to show my disgust for this school. You literally feel like a prisoner while attending this school. Like a slave wearing shackles walking through hallways while an annoying staff member yells and shouts at you "GET TO CLASS! " right after you step out the door from your previous class. Her voice is like a bunch of never ending police sirens driving past you. The principal is arrogant, abusing her power constantly and always rude to students. I hope one day the principal actually comes to her senses and realize that being impudent is only going to have people remember her and view her in a bad way. When I returned to the school over the summer to receive my transcript to transfer out of that hell hole I was already greeted by an old female security guard raising her voice yelling at me telling me that nobody is present in the office and would be able to assist me either way. As she said that, the principal walked right pass me while giving a tour to new students agreeing with her. What she said though was a bunch of lies to just get me to leave the school. Good thing Mark, one of the chillest staff members in the whole school who's in charge of I. D swiping told me to come with him and assisted me in order to get my transcript. I am now transferred out of this school and it honestly was the best decision for me. I'm currently a senior, have less classes on my schedule (the way it should be) and very happy with my new school. With all this being said DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL unless you want your kids coming home telling you everything I just mentioned. Parents you've been warned!

Honestly if you come to this school your in for a different experience than the other reviewers as things have changed. Our principle is trying her best to get things going for students, with the assistance of new teachers, all of whom have interesting pasts, to brighten our future. All that matters are the students who come I can not garentee you that your classmates will be the best but, rest assure that you won't miss out on the education you deserve and the connections you'll have with staffs, classmates and teachers. There are some truths about the school and the HVAC program, however the principle is not to be blamed and actually she is implicating an electrical course instead. This high school is like any high school there fights and kids who don't care for the school but, it depends on your own child to be on their best behavior and not succumb to the peer pressure. There are also programs that you can join such as; the College Now, which you go to a college class and gain credits for cuny schools (10th-12th) ask the guidance counselor, or art programs in Manhattan (ask the art teacher), a Con-Edison group (10th) I'm not too sure who you ask and many more. I'm currently in the 11th grade and I understand how the previous reviewers view this school and I'll tell you that most are just arrogant with how the school has enforced rules to a greater extent than they previously experience but, it was necessary. Any issues is brought up by students and complained by students but not reported which is needed in our school. We need students who are looking out for this school which I'm doing and many others, we can't complain and not try to solve the problems, can we?
