Hillendale Golf Course reviews
6 Misleading information on their website about pro shop merchandise and assistance with fittings. Cold and unnecessarily critical customer service on the phone.
Response Followup: We completely understand that supply chain issues and weather may affect availability. However, this information was not relayed when we called. Instead we were questioned on whether we would be prepared to spend at least a $1,000, which we were, and told a pro wouldn’t be in until the weekend. Explaining equipment availability and helping us set up a fitting appointment would have been more helpful.
Golf course is in great shape, food in the clubhouse was surprisingly good and very reasonably priced.
Held another tournament this past weekend at Hillendale and the participants RAVED about the event.
Nothing but positive things to say! The course was in great shape and the meal was absolutely incredible. One of the golfers contacted me today and shared that his steak was the BEST steak he has had in 5 years. KUDOS to all of the employees!
Have been playing Hillendale for years and really enjoy the course. The staff go above and beyond to make my wife and I feel welcome. Their dinners are excellent.especially their Friday dinners. Their event meals, for league AND tournaments, are second to none. I received many compliments on the most recent tournament I held there.
The golf course itself isn’t horrible besides the poor quality greens. The reason for the 2 stat review is the golf course staff. These are the most standoffish, unwelcoming people I have ever come across. They are not friendly, and they treat you with annoyance. I’ve played here well over 5 times and have had a poor experience interacting with the staff every single time. They are not happy people and it really shows. Do yourself a favor and drive an extra 10 minutes to the Trumansburg golf course where you’ll actually be treated with some decency.
