Hilton Garden Inn Melville, Plainview NY

Just attened wedding in the area and really liked the accommodations, service etc. Highly recommend.

We booked 3 rooms and stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Melville for 3 days for our wedding. The place was great, good location and clean.

However, there was a power outage as a drunk driver hit a pole and they said damaged their generator as well. This happened at 3 am on our wedding day, power was not restored until 11 am that day. We had to book a day hotel across the street at 4 points sheraton so we could have power and have our wedding entourage’s hair and makeup, preparation done. The worse part, is the stress that we experienced on our very own wedding day, including emotional stress, going up and down 3 flights of very dark stairs carrying gowns, dresses, luggages and trying to find a solution for the problem that they did not have a working generator.

We saw a male manager at the end of our stay, congratulated us and stated that he will try to do something about it and took our room numbers as well. However, we have not heard back. We have tried contacting hilton and tells us to talk to the hotel manager.

I stayed here one night after there weren’t anymore available rooms at the Hilton Homewood Suites across the parking lot. I had stayed there one day and loved it, checked out, and needed another night. I found the Hilton Garden’s staff to be very friendly and welcoming. My room was neat and clean. I was just spoiled apparently after the spaciousness of the Hilton Homewood Suites, but it was nice. The most disappointing was that they charge $16.99 for a breakfast buffet, when you can get the exact same food at the Hilton Homewood Suites for free. I had a tablespoon of oatmeal and 6 pieces of pineapple (The rest of my fruit was bad, and the oatmeal was disgusting.) and I was charged almost $10 for that. I was so pissed. Just a stone’s throw away and across the parking lot Hilton Homewood Suites doesn’t charge? And I paid about $100 more at the Garden Inn than there and there’s free breakfast there, for the same branded hotel? I won’t be staying here again. It’s a nice hotel, but trust me, Homewood Suites is better.

Diamond Member here.had a fantastic stay at this HGI. The Hotel Staff, Bartenders, and Chefs in the kitchen were absolutely phenomenal! The room was clean and comfortable and provided all the amenities that I needed for my stay. The Breakfast was great and the food options for Dinner were awesome and cooked to perfection. Plenty of outside seating so you can sit back and relax, and the landscaping was amazing. Really enjoyed my stay, this was like a home away from home!

Stayed for a week for work and everything. From a late check-in due to travel delays to having to extend my stay by a night in a nearly full hotel, Mia was at the desk and was so friendly and helpful that it was a pleasure to have her help me.
The bartenders and servers were also very friendly and the food was excellent.
On the weekends the hotel seems to fill up with wedding party's, but I had zero issues and everyone was great.
The rooms are recently renovated and have a standard HGI layout. The bed was comfortable and they have DirecTV with HBO, so plenty of channels. One thing I would I would like to see is Hilton's have their TVs able to watch Netflix, Prime, etc.

Overall, my stay was excellent and will stay here again on my next trip. The entire staff is among the friendliest I have ever come across which makes your stay that much more enjoyable.

Whenever we visit Long Island, we always stay at the Hilton Garden Inn.
The hotel is clean and offers a wonderful outdoor seating area and restaurant. Our one suggestion would be to designate one patio for smoking. The rooms are very comfortable and the service is great.

We adore Mia at the front desk! She is so friendly and always there to help! A real gem!

2 chargeable level 2 electrical terminals via Charge Point in the hotel car park. US$3.00/hour. Quite disappointing to have to pay. However, a free and easy-to-use ultra-fast terminal via credit card / Électify América is located in Commack if it's in your way.

Nice environment, staff friendly. Paid for breakfast and breakfast was supposed to be included for 4 only gave 2 breakfast pass and told to pay an addtl $17 per each other guest.
Beer bottles from previous guest left in room. Walls super thin, I could here the guest in the other room every time they were walking around.

The Hilton Garden Inn Melville is one of the nicest Hilton Garden Inn hotels I have been to. The front desk and events staff were all great, so welcoming and friendly, and the facility itself is great - lots of fire pits outside, EV charging spots, just an all around great lobby area.

Yet another great Hilton experience.
Just spent a week here. Rooms are nice and clean. Staff is friendly and attentive. The outside areas are really nice. Next time I have to be in the area this is where I will stay.

I love this hotel, the vibe there is very zen - like with a garden and a beautiful patio space that features an outdoor fireplace. The rooms are cozy and beds are most comfortable.

The first night we checked in was not initially a good experience. We actually almost left.
Mia at the front desk saved the day and she has the best determination and customer service.

When we initially checked in the room on the 4th floor it was dirty. Hair in the sink and crumbs.
The second different room Mia issued on the 4th floor that room was dirty.

When you first walked in the room the floor was dirty with hair and sand.

By the 3rd time my husband decided let’s leave and find another hotel.

Mia convinced us not to leave, apologized and found a room on the 3rd floor.

Third time and we stayed because of Mia determination and outstanding customer service. She saved the day.

I think whoever was assigned to clean the 4th floor did not do a good job and the hotel should not be penalized because of an employee that failed to do quality work.

I stay at Hilton hotel a lot, but for some reason the bed was not as comfortable as I know them to be in this one, also the curtains let a whole lot of sunlight in the room which was disturbing which also left me disappointed, I also recall the Hilton always have black out curtains where you don’t even see one bit of anything outside. That was not the case for this Hilton. The microwave was a nightmare.

I stayed here on business twice in the same month. Both times, the rooms, service, staff, and breakfast bar were fabulous. There is one weird anomaly which is making me consider whether to book somewhere else next time: a toxic old lady in a wheelchair seems to live there (or maybe comes there to visit every day?) and wheels around the lobby harrassing people. She especially hangs out in the business office where, if you are trying to print a document or work out some last minute detail for a project on their big screen desktop, she rolls in and just starts talking and talking, criticizing things, asking for help, "no, not THAT help, THIS help. And one more thing, would you just help me. " The first time I met her, I got her the paper she wanted, taught her how to use the printer, and whatever else. Then she kept talking. I absolutely could NOT concentrate because she kept talking. She started to get annoyed with me because I started tuning her out. After she said I was not a nice person, I just went back to my room and did my best, working on a small laptop screen. Later in the month, I was back in the business center working out a glitch on an excel sheet and not 2 minutes later, in she comes, with the same exact routine! Hahaha! I just packed up and left. So, other than those two experiences, this place is great.
