Hilton Garden Inn New York/Midtown Park Ave

I never write reviews but I have to on this one. One word: Terrible.
Where do I even begin.
The TV is tiny.
The TV is so small I couldn’t even see it, I just had to listen. It’s about the size of a lunchable.
The AC didn’t work.
And when it did it would shut off randomly, especially in the middle of the night. I kept getting up to turn it off and back on, before it kicking on, only to shut off moments later. I finally gave up and slept in a puddle of my own neck sweat.
And when it would work it would make an annoying ticking noise the entire time. Maybe it was counting down the time til it broke again.
The door is loose.
Around 7a I was awoken by knocking at the door, I get up to check it out and no one’s there.
This happened on and off for a couple hours to the point I thought someone was playing knock knock ditch. I even sat at the peep hole hoping to catch the menace in action.
Finally I realized the door is loose so every time someone opened or closed their door, mine would move and create a loud knocking sound, startling me out of what little sweaty sleep I managed to get. I finally gave up and listened to TV til check out time.

Great view from 22nd floor. Comfortable bed and pillow. A bit too much noise from the street. I wish they would provide drinking water every day, but that didn't happen. Overall, a good hotel.

Everything is good. I have one complaint: they only gave us two bottles of water for two nights - two people, when we asked for more, they said water was only offered once at check-in. Come on it's only 30 cents.

Extremely disappointed. From the valet crashing my vehicle to the falsely advertised balcony that wasn’t available and a crazy loud party that lasted well into 4am not letting my family sleep. I will never go here again and won’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
Stay away from this place. They crashed my vehicle then want to wash their hands and tell me I need to deal with the garage and their claim process. Management wasn’t sympathetic or even showed a bit of concern for their customer. It seemed as this was a normal occurrence and brushed me off. Like fill this out and call Monday when the garage supervisor is in. I didn’t use a garage. I valet at the hotel door and paid the hotel for the valet service. I don’t even know where they took my vehicle. As I found out after the fact that it was taken down to another block that had a garage. This is not a Hilton experience. It’s extremely frustrating and ruined my family’s NYC experience. As we also had to wait multiple hours for the police report. Because this could have potentially been a hit and run. Yes the crash has red paint. They hit another vehicle.
Avoid at all cost. There are many other Hilton options nearby.

My stay was an absolute nightmare, particularly due to their horrendous handling of lost items. I left behind a $500 suit in my room, and when I went back to retrieve it just two days later, the hotel staff showed no concern and just told me they never saw it. The idea that housekeeping simply ‘missed’ seeing such an expensive and conspicuously placed item is ludicrous. The hotel’s response? A flat refusal to compensate or even show a hint of concern.

But wait, it gets worse. They’ve outsourced their lost and found to some third-party website, which isn’t even affiliated with the hotel. This site is a joke – terrible reviews and virtually no success stories about recovered items. It’s a black hole for lost possessions. The hotel’s reliance on such a disreputable service for such an important task is unacceptable. I’m utterly appalled by the lack of professionalism. Stay here only if you’re fine with your belongings disappearing into thin air and dealing with a staff that couldn’t care less.

Excellent accommodation option in New York. The location is perfect, you can walk to many places of interest and there is a Metro station right in front. Comfortable room and friendly service. I would return.

I lost my room card and they didn't want to give me options to enter since the reservation was not in my name. Terrible attention. SECURITY WILL BE VERY IMPORTANT, BUT I THINK IT IS EVEN MORE IMPORTANT TO GIVE OPTIONS TO FIND A SOLUTION. I almost had to beg for alternatives to prove I was a resident of the hotel. Finally, as is obvious, I was able to prove that I was spending the night there in another way.

Large garbage bag outside the elevators, every day. Grotesque.
Despite having the Do Not Disturb sign, they entered our room to clean while we were inside the room! We heard at the hotel reception that another guest had also had the problem of having their room entered when the Do Not Disturb sign was posted.

Walking distance to Times Square. Helpful reception 7 Eleven just down the road and pizza right next.

Great location to see New York City. It's central location allowed us to rest in between all our walking!

I was extremely satisfied with the services at Hilton Garden Inn in NYC. Everything, from the reception to the room size, the location, the view, absolutely everything was impeccable. They made us feel not only welcome but special. Thank you.

Wonderful hotel, very nice looking lobby and rooms. The staff are super friendly. The location is awesome.

We booked this hotel because it’s one of the hotels within walking distance from NYU and our daughter is having surgery very early in the morning. The staff was so helping during check in, even met us outside to show us where the self parking is located. Once we were settled in, we received a knock on our door. The woman who was playing with our daughter during check in hand delivered a goodie bag and a signed card from all the staff wishing her a safe surgery. The room is clean and well supplied. Great location, we took a walk to Empire State Building, Walgreens and picked up dinner on the way back. Great experience!

The rooms are a good size for Manhattan, great service and super convenient location. Food and shipping is all close by and the subway station is literally across the street. I would highly suggest if your are visiting Manhattan.

Great location. Truly tired facility. The rust is the only thing holding it together. Our AC did not work most of the time we were here. The AC was out in the entire building when we arrived. When reported I was assured it would be “looked into” and then not a damn thing was done. The thermostat was broken so that it would go off in the middle of the night and it would get hot and one of us would have to get up and turn it off and then back on. The front desk never believed us and did nothing. We were instructed to not turn the fan on high and that “might help”. I guess so, because no staff was going too. Ridiculous. Bow to the east. Hold your head just right and “that might help”. I will never stay here again. The group I work for that put us in here is going to hear about my experience and I will tell them they are not to put me here again and I am going to attempt to make them pull the contract for everyone else. This place needs a complete overhaul. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else

I supposed to be hotel guest for 2 nights, I arrived to hotel last night at 10pm after many delays and hard time with my flights, I was very tired and just want to get sleep, but it was super noisy at the hall of hotel to the point we have to be very very close to hear each other at the reception desk, and surprisingly the lady at the reception desk she offer me air pod because she said it will be noisy in your room in the beginning I was thinking she was joking, I went to my room 301 and I have to scream to talk to my wife, so we went to search for other hotel in the middle of night, I checked and move to different hotel.

I stayed here for four days during the US Open. The room was only 300 yuan a night. The room was small but clean and warm and had a microwave. It is very close to the subway station. There is a convenience store downstairs and a Trader Joe's nearby. It is convenient for shopping. However, there was an event on the street one Saturday night and the music was loud all night. I found that the hotel's soundproofing was not enough to withstand the loud noise. Fortunately, the event arrived at 10 o'clock. It didn't disturb our sleep at all. Overall, it was a good choice for us who would go out early in the morning and go to see a show on Broadway in the evening.

Wonderful hotel, I was able to enjoy incredible moments, as the rooms are very cozy, in addition to being able to enjoy a wonderful gym, simply spectacular.
