This was an awesome place to stay in NYC. My girlfriend and I were offered an early check in which we of course accepted. Staff was very friendly and amazing. Location was very close to subway which we used a lot to get around and all of the main attractions. A lot of people will complain storage was very small, however people who have never been to NYC need to understand how small many rooms here are and that you should be spending most of your time exploring anyway! I would definitely recommend to anyone considering staying here!

Requested for a late checkout and got such a rude reply and I had such a unpleasant experience. Martha was absolutely rude and didn’t care at all about me and my needs. Stayed here for over one week. This is such a sad result. Additionally 2 times they didn’t manage to do the room service.

However Check-in was very smooth. The people at the front desk in the morning are welcoming and cared a lot. Business travel: Easy Apple Pay payment, company invoice, rooms are clean and bed is comfy. Rooftop bar and restaurant open with space to sit and work from but most of the time busy and hardly available for hotel guests.

Great hotel in a great location! It was easy to walk to the High Line and Times Square. Also, close to subway entrances. The staff were very accommodating and the rooftop bar had a great view.

GOD FORBID you book with a third party, other than Hilton. Should you (as I did through Agoda), you will be treated as a 10th class citizen, made to feel like you are absolutely not welcome and some kind of criminal, bound to destroy the room and/or property.

Upon check in, I discovered that my Hilton Honors gold status wasn’t valid as I booked through Agoda. Understood, however slightly ridiculous. Airlines honour membership and status regardless of where it was booked, unsure as to why it differs with hotels. Was then told that to check in, a $100USD per night “deposit” was required (~$300AUD), and must be on a credit card, with the return of funds to take up to 7 business days. I’m always astounded at how easily businesses can debit a customers account instantly, yet to return funds takes an infinite amount of time.

Should you not have the funds, as was my case ($260AUD remaining on my credit card), you can go and withdraw cash at DOUBLE the original deposit amount, so $400USD! After trying to negotiate, the awful woman I was dealing with told me I would need to get a credit card authorisation filled in by someone I knew. My family is in Australia and at the time of check in were fast asleep. She proceeded to tell me that I would need to then wake them up. After 5 minutes of this “negotiation” I was then told by her, “I’ve given you several options, I will not allow you access to the room without a deposit”. I must mention that she told me this is required, “in case I damage the room or break the TV”. To note, none of this was mentioned in the property policy section on the Agoda websites listing for the property.

I spent about 20 minutes looking at what I could do, trying to see if I could access additional funds or some other line of credit. Once I had sorted something I checked in successfully. I had my AirPod pros in the entire time, set to transparent mode. When I was waiting at the lift, I overheard the horrendous, awful woman speaking with her colleagues about me and speaking about me extremely negatively. Wow, what a wonderful welcome to the Hilton.

When opening the door to the room I was provided, I was greeted with bubbling wallpaper from what appeared to be liquid/water damage, a broken light fitting in the bathroom, what appeared to be mould in the tile grout in the shower, a broken glass casing to one of the bedside tables, mould and dirt on the windowsills, and stains on the wallpaper behind the bed.

The property listing on the Agoda website said that this property included a $0USD transfer to the airport. Well, this didn’t exist according to the awful front desk Hilton staff.

I spoke to yet another awful staff member over the phone from my room via the room phone. She was rude, cut me off while I was speaking, then told me she was placing me on hold to put me through to her manager. She then came back to me, and said something else to which I protested, then placed me on hold without telling me and transferred me to another extension that went to voicemail! I was told I would be speaking to the front office director. Understandably furious, I hung up and called back to be then speaking to Brianna, who was apparently the front office manager. She told me the hotels policy, was extremely blasé and from her tone couldn’t care less about the issue of the transfer. I asked why it couldn’t come off the deposit I had been charged, she said it wasn’t an incidental, yet kept referring to the transfer as a “house car”. I was in shock. I was told I would need to refer to Priceline (assuming that Agoda books these rates via another party, so I’m actual fact seems that there are 3-4 parties involved in these bookings). So

Bottom line, if you want to stay at this outdated, unkept property, do not book through a third (or in Agoda’s case, fourth party) unless you want retribution and to be be treated like the scum of the New York sewers.

This hotel is absolutely amazing and has a great view of New York from the top. In relation to NY standards, the room was quite large and we were shocked to find such a large room in a crowded environment. The location is also near to many tourist attractions in New York. I would recommend this hotel if you are visiting NYC.

Insights: 1.bring ear plugs you can hear people jumping upstairs. 2. Lots of kids around, they are in the gym and like to explore. 3. Place is cheap, and hotels around the area are similar. 4. Whole food is a block away 5. Traffic noise in the mornings 6. AC is cool, working well. 6 No sound proofing between the hallway and your room, so you can hear everything.

Always a solid choice for business travel. Quiet, good water pressure, low stress and easy to get to.

Positive - The staff was nice.

Negative - We stayed for three nights and had no AC for the first two, which was unbearable since the weather was 95+. It was sticky and gross in there - so stale. The building engineer was in our room multiple times and by the final night we finally had cold air coming in.

This is possibly the worst Hilton I’ve ever stayed. I am Hilton honors gold, and I’ve traveled and stayed in many Hiltons around the world. First, when I arrived, the receptionist did not even acknowledge me. It felt like I was at the DMV office when I tried to get her attention her answer was what do you want. Unbelievable, Finally, she found my reservation and without an explanation gave me a room and made me sign a charge which I did not know what it was. I had paid partially with points, and it turned out that she was charging me for some deposit for incidental charges, the room was very dated small and very distastefully decorated. They had an AC unit in room from 1960s and very noisy. The bed was very uncomfortable. I could not sleep all night I just ran out to a different Hilton at Times Square which is a completely different story. Hilton should be ashamed of itself to have its name on a hotel like this; stay away from this hotel.

The hotel is in a safe and convenient location with great coffee shops and restaurants minutes away, as well as great sightseeing in very close proximity. The customer service is great, a big shout out to Brandon for being so professional, kind, and hard working.

The rooms are very tiny. There is no room to put the luggage anywhere except in the closet. In the king suite there is no counter space in the bathroom. The room is dark with no view. I would not be staying here again.
The only positive I would have is that the entrance have a car pull up port, and it was very convenient when it was raining.

Fantasitc value and location. Staff were friendly and room was small, but mostly good. Only two complaints: water in shower/sink got hot really fast. Be careful. Also, we were on the top floor, and the room was very warm. Had to turn the air conditining fan to "high. " Despite that, it was still a great room in a great location and we will strongly consoder again when we are in NYC!

It is near everything: subway, trains, restaurants, shopping, etc. This is the place you want to go to. Room was clean, bathroom clean, the top floor lounge was good but expensive.

The staff here is SO kind! Truly! The lady who checked us in was a delight. The lady working overnight when I couldn’t find an open parking garage after the concert, was very helpful. She went above and beyond for me and my kids. Even my kids expressed how touched they were by her efforts. 5 minutes of her generosity saved what could have been a long night for us.

Customer service was on point which was the most important thing for me. Rooms clean, dropping off luggages was a breeze. And the atmosphere was definitely worth every Penny. Thank you Hilton for the wonderful stay.

Great place to stay. Conveniently located and good deal with a parking garage less than a block away. Clean and updated rooms.
