Holiday Inn Express & Suites Buffalo Downtown - Medical Ctr, an IHG Hotel

I’ve stayed at the hotel many times over the years. The common areas, my rooms and the outside have always been clean. If I needed anything in the room the service was prompt.

Check in has always run smooth and the staff work fast when there are a lot of people. I’ve gotten food recommendations from the staff and I’ve appreciated what I was told. Without fail, I’ve been greeted by the front desk or the van drivers each time I’ve come into the lobby.

I can’t recall all the employees by name, but Byron and BW are two that I can recall. The hotel is also secure including the elevators.

Be prepared to be second or third priority behind the airlines. This hotel caters heavily to United and Soutwest, above the loyalty of IHG customer.

Had to visit the passport agency, we mentioned this to the desk and they said we would need late check out. Shuttled us to parking lot. Only a couple minute walk to the passport agency

What a great Holiday Inn Express, first we were able to check in a bit earlier which was greatly appreciated after our long drive into Buffalo. The king size bedroom was great, the bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows. It was a nice spacious room with the separate living room area and two big flat screens, one in the bedroom and in the living room. I also noticed that if you were a family and were going to use the pull out couch that the bedroom had double doors you could use to section off the two rooms as well as a bathroom with two separate entrances for each room. The room was very clean so I had no worries at all staying there, the room was also pretty modern and did not feel dated. The living room had a nice study for anyone traveling and needing to do some work. I enjoyed that there was a mini fridge and a microwave to heat up our leftovers. The free breakfast was much more than I was expecting! From pancakes to chocolate milk, bacon, cheesy eggs, biscuits and more! We came to this location due to it being so close to the Town Ballroom it was not far at all and was not far from multiple restaurants and the market arcade. Great experience! We will come back again!

Terrible service. The guy at front desk is RUDE. Refused to change room. They have a note in bathroom said if you forgot to take any bathroom supplies just give them a call and they will bring to your room. When I called front desk, he said if you want it, come get it at front desk.

Great location downtown, with a friendly staff that have great info and are very accommodating.

Great hotel with great personnel. Special shout out to Tina at the front desk for going the extra mile for our family. Also kudos to the other members of the staff and the shuttle driver whose name escapes me.
The rooms could use a litrle.updating but they were spacious and clean.

Staff is excellent especially the front desk, room had a good layout and was pretty clean for the lost part. The bathroom has Dove products, hand soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner but the tub had a lot of hair in it which is a complete turn off for me and the housekeepers were loud early in the morning

During my 8 day stay

Pros:
- great service
- actually comfortable mattresses!
- great check in times
- next to T. G. I. F.
- free breakfast

Cons:
- toilets flush super loud, if you have babies sleeping, you will wake them up
- breakfast doesn’t get restocked, when something runs out, it’s gone.
Which sucks because some people take 10 of everything. So get there early
- breakfast selection is small

Location and rooms are ok. Customer service was terrible. They did not clean the room for 3 days even after asking multiple times. Breakfast was really bad. They were out of almost everything including bread, coffeee etc.even at begining of breakfast. Avoid staying there if possible specially if planning to stay with family.

The room booked was a suite for 3 guests. On arrival the staff at front desk was not helpful. When asked about parking, the staff stated that they did not know and they are very busy because of a wedding, then continued on to inappropriately complain that guests check out late. When asked again, where should we park, the staff suggested a parking lot that was a 10 min walk away or across the street but didn’t know if there was going to be a parking spot for us as they are “ very busy”. A bit strange for a hotel to not know where guests can park. Once we got to the room there was 1 washcloth and 2 hand towels…only. The fridge didn’t work (which we needed for insulin) and the bedroom blinds were broken. For almost $400 for the night we were beyond disappointed. We called front desk and were brought 8 hand towels and 3 regular towels, (so 1 towel for each person?) the fridge was fixed but not the blinds as the repair person doesn’t work on the weekends. All of this and ripped up flooring.we just won't be staying at this hotel again.

Well it goes like this I arrived late and the hotel fan was at the airport waiting which ya really don’t see that happening very often. The front desk was warm and very friendly and welcomed us with open arms. The room was very clean refrigerator microwave was clean and ready to use security in the front lobby kinda worried me a little but this day and age I guess it’s needed everywhere I’ll give this two thumbs up

Great experience overall! I would give it 5 stars if they negotiated some type parking arrangements with one of nearby parking lots/garages. There is only a small little area to pull into for check-in, which made it more painful than it should have been. Otherwise, the hotel is connected to a TGI Fridays which is great (no coats needed). The room was nice (bathroom was a little dirty though), and I got no hassle when I requested a late checkout.
