Holiday Inn Resort Lake George - Adirondack Area, an IHG Hotel reviews
17We came for a princess show. I brought my 3 year old to visit Elsa, Anna and Belle. It was lovely and $30 for the two of us. Which wasn't too bad of a price, I think for kids it could have been cheaper.
Great views, top notch restaurant! Food was absolutely delicious! Definitely making a return trip to eat here & enjoy more of Lake George!
Come here every year with my family and always a solid hotel!
Clean, neat and the employees are always friendly. In house restaurant is always an option for some good food as well.
If you love mountain lake views while staying at a resort class hotel this is the place to be. Add in the fall foliage is still reaching peak colors and you have the icing on the cake!
Clean, spacious hotel in Lake
George overlooking Canada
Street, mountains and lake.
We had a wonder room with a
spacious balcony overlooking the
pool and courtyard. I could also
see the mountains, lake and
Canada Street! Tonya at the front
desk was so helpful and
accommodating to us. She was a
great first impression! I have
stayed at this hotel in the past;
and, I will stay there again when in
Lake George.
I would like to thank Courtney at the front desk for making our vacation stay very special. At first, we were only staying for four days. However, we loved this resort and all the activities they had planned for kids and adults. We ended up extending our stay for an additional 3 nights. On the morning of our room switch, Courtney was able to get us a king suite with a balcony. She was very helpful and professional. She made sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy with our stay. The view at this resort is breath taking and they really go above and beyond with the activities for their guests. This was our first time at Lake George and we had a wonderful family vacation.
Great place to stay. I would recommend this hotel to others and I would gladly stay there again. I gave 4 stars because there was a billing error that was later corrected by the bank.
Room was okay, nothing special. Sheets were very soft and bed firm. Limited housekeeping due to covid, but prompt response to any request for towels, etc. Nice place for people with kids, lots to do, indoor and outdoor pool, games, crafts, activities for children. Go out for food, restaurant was expensive and poor quality.
Enjoy the Trivia by the gentleman at the pool the DJ was very nice
It's just too bad that the restaurant and tavern does not stay open past 10 o'clock.
This was my second stay here and it was just as amazing as the first. The rooms and common areas are clean and well maintained. The staff is top-notch and very friendly and hardworking. TRs is easily the best in-hotel restaurant I have ever eaten at.
The amenities and the whole resort is awesome. The location is perfect to walk into town. I absolutely love it here and would have a hard time staying anyway else!
Paid over $300 a night for a room that "does not have Housekeeping once you check in". We had to get all towels and toiletries from the front desk everyday. We were only staying for two nights so we did not say anything however, corners in the room had not been vacuumed in a while and wallpaper was peeling in the corner. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was good. Honestly, it was not worth all the money we paid.
The rooms were nice but there were no blackout curtains, only sheers. We have kids who need dark mornings or drive us crazy lol.
There weren't enough towels in the room, but we were able to get full sets upon asking.
Staff is very warm and friendly.
We would come back again.
So glad we gave this hotel a shot because it was great! The kids had a wonderful time. Every night it movie night by the pool. Free ice cream cart daily by the pool at 3pm. Lots of activities for the kids and even fun games for the adults. Staff was wonderful. Rooms were clean. We had the bunk beds for the kids and they loved it. The view of the lake and mountains was beautiful from our balcony. Close by to million dollar beach. We even did the walk one morning with the kids and it was fine. We will definitely be back next year! Only thing I hope changes is having towels and toilet paper put in room daily or every other day without having to request it.
Went to Lake George for a lacrosse tournament and stayed at the Holiday Inn. It was a great hotel for a family of five. Clean, nice indoor and outdoor pool areas, a bunch of extra curricular activities for the kids, and kids eat free at the hotel restaurant with paying adults.
Customer service was great. When we first walked into our room, we noticed the refrigerator wasn’t working. We told the front desk and within an hour we had a brand new fridge.
Great location. Half mile walk to the lake and Village. Close to the highway.
Would recommend and stay again
I did not stay in the rooms. I ate at the restaurant which was very good. Amenities looked clean and fun. Everyone was smiling
The Resort location is prefect if you have young children with you. The reception area should be more upgraded to give that expensive resort feeling. The rooms are reasonably good but the air conditioner are old noisy and dusty. You could clearly see the deep dust on the vents and smell so bad. Everytime Ac turns on feels like there is a air buster.
We stayed 3 nights on a holiday weekend. What a great experience! The property is well kept and has numerous things to entertain the entire family. There were activities for the kids in the playroom located next to the pool and exercise room. The outdoor pool had a kiddie pool, playground, large chess board, shuffle board and basketball court. At night there was a beautiful fire pit by the front door. In the indoor pool area, which is the best I’ve ever seen in a hotel, there was a sauna, bathrooms and just outside, a hot tub. The restaurant had good food and friendly staff. The hotel staff was very hospitable. Our room was nice and outfitted with a large size dorm fridge with freezer and microwave.
