Holy Smoke, Mahopac NY

We picked up ribs with sweet fries and the container of coleslaw. Paid $10 more than we normally pay since covert started. And we have been customers for a very long time. Tonight was terrible. The fries was soggy the ribs were dry and the coleslaw was warm. Wbypassed; by another rib place to go to holy smokes since we are loyal customers

Great pulled pork and ribs. Because of the shipping problems and shortages it was a bit less than used to be. Didn't have leftovers to take home, but was enough and delicious as usual.

The indoor portion of the restaurant is dark and not very nice. The outdoor portion is amazing. Nice tables and fire pit section. Ample parking. Only 1 bathroom, not very clean. Food: The ribs were amazing. That is the only reason they get 4 stars. Well seasoned, falling off the bone, amazing flavor. Sides were ok. Drink options were ok. A little disappointed on the NY micro breweries options. Service was satisfactory. All in all, I would go back for those ribs.

Love their food! Outdoor seating is nice and comfortable. Ppl are attentive and friendly. But only negative is personally, i don’t want to listen to 80’s metal rock while having lunch on nice summer weekend every time I come here. I have to mentally prepare for it. But food keeps bring me back.

The whole building smells like hickory (or similar wood) smoke, so that certainly was welcoming. I liked the beer selection, outdoor seating and the smoked chicken thighs. The brisket, which was re-heated (granted I was there on a weekday for lunch) was still ok to good, but just did not have enough flavor for me. Nor did I care for the onions on the brisket sandwich. The whole sandwich was sort of a "swing and a miss. " Service was friendly but a bit slow at times, even though the restaurant was not busy when I was there.

I love this place. Visited from the UK to here two years apart. Happy to say that it was still great! A good selection of beers and the food it amazing. Well worth a visit with friends. The portions are huge. If I was to leave some advice. Perhaps create one or two more options for vegetarians.

If you love bbq, this place is the bomb. Everything is huge in here including the drink cups. My ex loved this place because she was a connoisseur of micro brews on tap and theres a LARGE assortment of liquid refreshment on tap.

This is by far one of my favorite BBQ joints I've ever been to. I moved away from the area and everything I try doesn't even come close to the delicious food served here. Highly recommended, everything is A+. Beer lineups are always rotating and incredible as well. Top tier bourbon selection. You NEED to come here.

Great smoked bbq. The portions are very fulfilling and service is good. Country style dining with great country style bbq to pair with it. It definitely won't disappoint.

Place is ok.alot of food for the price. But ribs, Brisket, chicken always comes out luke warm never hot.and always Dry.
Been living in Mahopac for over 10yrs have not ever been to a decent place to Eat. Always go out of town.

Very disappointed. Nice setting but that is where it ended. The brisket was not smoked or if it was, it was days old soaked in some kind of juice. No smoke ring, just all brown. It was not inedible, however not even close to real smoked brisket. They should take a trip to Texas and see how to bbq.

Good old fashioned BBQ straight from the smoker. Ribs, pulled pork, brisket all top notch. Great options at the bar too, bourbon and beer

We have been going here for years. Down right the best bbq! Big portions and the beer selection is amazing. If you love bbq it's the place to go. Dont miss out!

Terrific down and dirty, sit-in-your-belly, BBQ. Best wings I ever ate. Great slectiose of micro brews.

They have rats in kitchen and caught one guy picking his nose and touching food ao we left and there is a guy offering bjs in the parking area

The food was a bit too sweet for my taste (that's why not 5 stars!) but definitely a healthy meal.and enough left to enjoy for two days!

Excellent choice of beers. Pleasant hostess and a very relaxed atmosphere.

Best smoked food anywhere. Ribs are finger lickin' good. Corn fritters and sweet potato fries are my favorite sides me. Not a fan of wild boar heads on the wall LOL

We are not BBQ people as a rule, but when the urge hits this is the place to go.
There is a small outside dining area that is a perfect spot in the spring or fall to have the wonderful pulled pork, brisket or great ribs.
The drinks are good sized and the staff is friendly.
Life should be this.simple.
