My first time in this store. Very helpful staff. Store has many items from paint to lumber. Plumbing. I will go back again

Customer service is mediocre. They're not rude or anything but everytime I go in there everyone is huddled around ignoring customers. Never once asked if I needed help but once interrupted they will try to help but I was given bad information that has entirely screwed me over on a project. I called earlier in the week to ask about delivery, was told they typically can do next day. Went in two days before project day, but got confused about something so went back to warehouse to look at what I needed (best customer service was back there) and by the time I was done it was almost closing time. I specifically asked the girls up front if I came in on Thursday if I would still be able to get my delivery on Friday. They said yes so I went back the next day, got everything ready to order only to be told Monday at the earliest. Extremely frustrating.

ShoP local everyone says. Not here. All the workers watch me wander aimlessly. Think one would ask if I needed help? No. Too busy huddled up talking while one girl runs check out. Ill go back to Lowes. This is why I dont shop local, and based on the zero customers in your store I can see why. Customer service is still important.

I went in this morning thinking of a complex answer to a construction project. An employee saw my puzzled look and meandering, so he asked if I heeded help. I swallowed my pride and related my problem. He gave me a much simpler, easier, and cheaper solution. I was very pleased, so yes, I will be going back to this store and the one in Candor.

3-11-2023 Went in to Home Central in Owego today for some electrical parts. I quickly found exactly what I needed (at a very reasonable cost), paid, and went home to finish the job after only a few minutes.

Very frustrating to do business with, I’ve tried hard to do business over the years with local and not big box but the company really just doesn’t care from the top down. I’ve got great service from people on the face to face level at vestal but I don’t believe this company as a whole, ever evolved as they got bigger.

I have never been so mistreated by an organization in my life, they overcharged my company, lied about it and have a management team that has no idea what they are doing. Avoid.
