Great service, nice and clean setup. Could improve chicken seasoning. Chicken was cooked but the sauce was just thrown on it.

Hard to express my review. The restaurant was empty on a Friday night. Drinks were a bit expensive 14.00 each Ordered the family meal you pick and choose what you want to eat different selections. Lobster and King Crab legs were pretty good. Oysters and Clams Crawfish oh my all good. If you want a bit of everything try this. They have there own seasoning it was flavourful. Overall, you will spend around 127.00 with tip.

Hook and reel chain always there for you when you want seafood boil. Server is really attentive.

3/5 for freshness on seafood. Clams arent too good. Mussels lobster tail and shrimp are good.

Lemon pepper wings too salty, cajun wings r good. Shrimp basket could use more seasoning.

Broccoli in the seafood boil bag gets 10/10 for crunchyness and really great with the house special sauce. Their sauces are done really well.

Awesome experience. We ordered lobster bisque, the perfect storm, and two appetizers. We thought it wouldn't be enough. BUT it was not only more than enough but we actually took some home. Great quality place. Service was also something to note. They always made sure we got exactly what we wanted as soon as possible.

ABSOLUTELY DE LI CIOUS! SEASONED GARLIC SAUCE WAS Very Good, but it could use some lemon pepper to make it PERFECT. Passion Fruit Margarita on the rocks was also made perfectly. THANK YOU SO MUCH! This Staten Island location also has EXCELLENT service!

This was a find! So much seafood that the menu can get overwhelming. I really enjoyed their po boy flounder, shrimp and lobster tail. All freshly made and top notch flavor. What really made it shine for me were the fries. I got a basket of sweet potato and one of cajun fries to share, they were crispy, tasty, and not oily or greasy. The waiting staff were really helpful in navigating all the choices on the menu, handed out plenty napkins, wet tissues, bibs and gloves, cause seafood can get very messy. The space is neatly decorated and spatious, with multiple booths and tables, inside and outside. The music isn't very loud, so you can easily converse. Overall, I don't doubt I'll choose to come by again, when in the area.

Ordered fried shrimp, fried cod and French fries. The food tasted like cardboard with seasoning not flavor at although the service was good.

We went for a last minute birthday dinner. Their “outdoor dining” is a few ramshackle tables parked on the sidewalk of a parking lot. Cars pull up and sit next to you while they grab their orders to go which is what we should have done. Just not a lot of effort to make the outside appealing at all.
Like put up a few plants or some kind of separation from the parking lot. What was frustrating was there was no one inside yet they insisted we needed our vaccinations. I understand that but then provide at least something to enjoy outside.
On the upside the food was decent I got dungenous crab with a lemon pepper sauce and though it was over salted it wasn’t too too much. The staff was friendly and they brought out a little piece of cheesecake. Drinks were tasty but as expected not in the least full of alcohol.

Celebrated our son's birthday by dining at Hook & Reel, one of his favorite restaurants. Outstanding service and delicious food. Yes, a little pricey but worth every penny. The staff and our waiter went above and beyond being courteous, polite and attentive. Will definitely be back!

Took a friend to this restaurant for their first time visit to Hook N Reel. Who happened to be in town visiting from Dallas, TX. It is a place that I have tried once before and will continue to be a place I will frequent often. The first time I tried the snow crab legs with the seafood paella. While the wife had the catfish sliders and the crab fries. Perhaps on my first visit. I wasn't expecting much coming from a "chain" seafood restaurant. But needless to say the taste of the food surprised even my wife. Her being an even harsher food critic than myself. The food was well seasoned and not over bearing. The fries despite having crab dip covering them. Still managed to maintain their crispy texture and had a fresh taste as if they were made to order. The crab. Even though it had just a little sweetness to the taste. Complimented that crisp fresh taste of the fries. As far as the sweetness of the crab. That isn't anything a little extra old bay and garlic couldn't fix. Paella is one of my favorite dishes. And the version I tried from this restaurant did not disappoint. The rice was cooked just right. The seafood in the dish was a little buttery. But made for a good dressing without making the texture of the rice soggy. My wife really enjoyed her catfish sliders and found herself a bit jealous when i told her I went back without her lol. Today's visit did not disappoint as well as the customer service was ideal and friendly. The hostess who took our order was extremely polite and friendly and made sure our orders were accurate. And the waitress who served our food to gowas very helpful and polite as well. My friend who happened to be in NYC to visit was absolutely satisfied with the overall service and and quality of the food. Only reason this review isn't getting the full 5 stars from me as of yet. Is simply due to the fact that have not gotten a chance to experience the full satisfaction of actually dining in. To which I do plan to do hopefully soon. But until then the food and service was just as good as my first visit. I highly recommend anyone to give your local hook n reel a try if you have not done so already. They do not disappoint as of yet

Excellent! It was my first time dining there the atmosphere is very comfortable, service was top notch fast, friendly and not rushed! The food was on point definitely one of the best seafood restaurants in Staten Island. I will be returning. Highly Recommend!

Staff was total professional friendly kind and caring.prices were very reasonable.the food was excellent tasty and more then enough.everything was freshly cooked and tasted great.please don't change a thing.

Our server was really great. Patient and nice. I was a little thrown by the calamari sauce coming in a peel back plastic cup, instead of made fresh. That matters to me because seafood is something that has to be fresh. The food did taste good and fresh, but the question stayed in my mind. Is there anything else that's not fresh?

Used to be very good I was give them 5 stars, but this time i like but not like they’re was, sorry guys this time just 4 stars

I come here like once a month. Staff, food, cleanliness and service is ALWAYS AMAZING! Even when its busy /late night, the food still arrives timely and delectable. I feel like everything is reasonably priced for the portion served. Anytime I want seafood, I come here.

I've had take out from here but I must say from the hot fresh appetizers to the main course it is more wonderful in the restaurant. All the food is delicious and a super friendly staff. Will definitely return and recommend it to anyone.
