Hot Shots Volleyball reviews
12This review was strictly for the bar and restaurant. I didn’t play volleyball and not included in this review. The place hasn’t changed in 20 years. The food was just okay and the biggest issue was the leaking roof and copious amount of what appeared to be black mold growing on the ceiling. This needs to be addressed and corrected.
The wings are the best ones I've had in Rochester. Great place to watch football and well priced.
Pretty cool, you can play volleyball in court or sand plus there's a bar, they serve food as well, great place to spend a few hours, we had an amazing time
If you love volleyball, and are new to the area (or not), this is the place to get to know the local community of volleyball players. Regardless of your level, there will be a spot for you. Hot Shots has been my home away from home in Rochester for over 20 years, and for as long as I live in this area, and as long as I continue to play, it will never change. Leagues and tournaments for all. Always a good time.
Great place for volleyball and cheap drinks. Very friendly atmosphere. Great staff. Food is okay at best.
Called a couple weeks in advance to book a sand court on a Sunday for 2 hours. The guy on the phone took my credit card number and charged me a $50 deposit to reserve the court. When we arrived, the girl working that day said that we weren’t in the schedule, he forgot to actually book the court. All the sand courts were booked so we were told that we could use the hard courts instead. We didn’t have proper footwear for that but we said fine and headed over to the hard courts. We were very rudely greeted by a coach saying that the courts were booked all day/night (even though 2 of them were available at the moment). We were turned away and I couldn’t even get my money back—apparently only the GM can handle that and he wouldn’t be in until Monday. I have a busy work schedule and whenever I was able to call them, I had no luck. GM had left for the day, no one answered, and the mailbox was full. They’re impossible to reach and the staff isn’t very friendly/accommodating. Make sure if you call and rent a court that they ACTUALLY put you in the books!
They double booked our volleyball court and kicked us out because there was no more room for us. Honesty, this place needs to insert an electronic scheduling system. They currently book the courts using a paper system and phone operator. The system is old and outdated… Overall the experience was not fun and a waste of my time.
Double booked our volleyball court and kicked us out because there were no available courts. Couldn’t give us a refund and said we needed to call the GM to get our refund. Need to update their scheduling system. The paper system is a little outdated. Overall the experience was aa waste of time.
Great place for some beach volleyball. Staff is awesome and always accommodating. They have 5 beach courts and 2 hard courts. Heather is amazing and always found a way to make it work for our group. Leagues are well rounded and fair.
Indoor sand volleyball courts with nightly leagues ranging from rec to advanced level. Also has hard courts where you can play volleyball or other sports. Can rent out either area. Also has a bar and the bartenders are fantastic.
Update 2022: Food comes out at a normal speed now, doesn't take forever, and the prices of vball seem to have stayed the same through covid. Giving 4 stars now.
A place for volleyball.sand or floor! Bar is a bonus. Always a lot of activity here on weeknights between leagues on sand courts or club volleyball for Paradigm.
