Hotel Indigo Lower East Side New York, an IHG Hotel reviews
16 Note! Very loud bar on 15th floor! Bring ear plug! Otherwise you will not be able to sleep.
I hope someone could call 911 for the noise pollution
Great location, service was friendly and welcoming. Room sizes are average but has the boutique hotel feel. Beautiful lobby just under the room top bar which has a stunning view and you can work from
there. Highly reccommed.
Great location. Check in was easy. Room clean. They use Bigelow products. 2 pillows in the room. Called the front desk and asked for extra pillows, gave my room number but it never came. ️ Not sure what happened there.
This property goes above and beyond to provide a great stay. Thank you Annisa for making this a great place for us to enjoy our wedding. You guys rock!
I wanted to enjoy my stay but since the rooftop bar is what I paid for, and there’s NOTHING on their website about requiring proof of vaccination to GET FOOD, it was a bit of a letdown. If anything had told me to bring my card, I would have. You know, also, NO ROOM SERVICE “because of COVID” for some reason? Like they can’t do a contactless delivery outside your room? Even more ridiculous since the front desk wasn’t even wearing a mask. The room is fine, but I could have had a fine room for half the price. I wanted the experience and was barred from it. Cool, thanks.
I go here alllll the time. I love Mr. Purple. Always good music and good people. Drinks are a bit pricey but they are good. Amazing view of the city. The rooftop is a must go!
Giant inflatable rat outside. Union protesting because they hired a company that exploits it's workers. No health benefits or retirement.
Enjoyed my time here. Worth a stay especially if you're looking to hang in the downtown area.
I called to confirm additional details for my stay. Joseph, the associate who answered my call continued to ask me to upgrade to a $1,000+ suite. Unable to answer the questions that I had I didn’t feel comfortable booking without receiving additional information. Because I was not willing to provide my credit card number, Joseph hung up on me. I am extremely disappointed at the customer service at a hotel that I was looking forward to.
There is a bar located on the hotel’s lower rooftop that blasts music until all hours of the night. You can literally here the exact song that’s playing it’s THAT loud. When I called down to the lobby, they told me that they don’t own the bar that’s located on their own rooftop and that there’s nothing they can do about it. Ridiculous that they’d house a bar on their rooftop with guests’ rooms immediately below and above it. It’s such a shame because the hotel itself is in a great location and the rooms are a nice size but considering a hotel is for sleeping, I would not recommend.
This is my second time staying here I’ve had a nice stay each time the service has been good even though I’ve never stayed longer than a night so I can’t say much. The rooms are always clean and enough space for two. We got the queen room and a nice view of the city. Perfect area for night life and a young crowd. Lots to do around and great places to eat. Definitely worth the price range and I would recommend to someone looking for a more affordable stay in the city.
Two negatives. The pool is almost a complete bait and switch. Monday through Friday guests of the hotel may use the pool but, and this is a huge one, if you want to use it on the weekend then prepare to pay $125 per person, per day, $500 for a weekend for two!
That in no way counts as an amenity. You can spin it all you want but it doesn't count.
The other issue is that some random drunk person had a key that opened our room door. If the security lock wasn't in place this person might have been a dangerous problem.
The rest of the experience was fine but overshadowed by the above.
The beds were horrible, things were missing from my room such as shower mat and shampoo. The linens are low quality. One of my worst hotel experiences in my 20 years of travel. I can not overstate how poor the mattresses were.
A good sized room, with a comfortable bed. A modern bathroom, with a massive shower (and great rain shower head). Right in the middle of the Lower East side, with plenty of restaurants and bars.
Solid location and friendly staff. But overall I found this location to be less than 4* quality. The room had little sound proofing, so the sounds from the hotel bar, other guests, and the hallway ice machine woke me up a few times late into the night- It felt like a college dorm. And a lot of extras were charged when normally provided as amenities included in guests’ stays elsewhere- including the pool and even for bottled water ($8?). Will give it a skip next time I’m in the city.
Stayed here for two nights and would not recommend especially at the price point. Friday night, someone started knocking at our door for 2 minutes at 11: 30pm. When we checked, a hotel employee told us that the lock on our door was BROKEN - in order for the door to lock you needed to forcefully close it. This was NOT mentioned to us when we checked in which meant our room was unlocked for parts of the day and I cannot understand why they decided to tell us about this near midnight while we were all sleeping. Additionally, the lobby was constantly packed and guests were not following COVID protocols since there is a popular bar on the 15th floor.
