Hotel on Monroe, BW Signature Collection, Rochester NY

It’s a boutique hotel so a little diy is there but once figure it out no problem room was clean everything was great!

Great room for the efficent traveler. No frills, but room was clean.added bonus with a HEATED toilet seat! No contact check in was a little vague, but with a little patience, you can figure it out.location is ok, but right along a bus line if you dont have a car

What an adorable Lil gem! I hope all motels rise to this. Small overall building but tons of character and in a very HUB location. Tons of shops by here. Rooms are quaint but upscale with everything you need. Nice showers, hot water. I'd stay here again.

This place sucks. Their beds are like cots and super hard. The bathroom is a big barn door so if you have to take a poop, everyone gonna hear it hahaha. You can literally hear the neighbors and what they are talking about as well. The tv is nothing special and you have to pay for most of the Chanels. Would highly NOT recommend this place.

Cozy sleek motel style accomodations. Rooms are newly updated and very clean. The location is great short drive to or Uber to downtown attractions.

Really peaceful and great privacy. Room was cozy and very comfortable as well easily accessible.

Super responsive owner. Clean rooms and comfy bedding. Close to City, Pittsford and Twelve Corners Brighton. Decent jogging in suburban neighborhood nearby. Could use a reading chair and hooks for toiletries/Dopp kits.

Travel to the area for work pretty frequently and I don’t stay anywhere else. Delightful every time, quiet, clean, and close to lots of food.

Cool hidden diamond. I needed one night and this location was perfect. Trendy place with a cool vibe. Easy checkin and checkout. Put my code in got my key put my code in dropped key off. Room super clean and has NYC vibe. I’m from city so loved it. If you need a place to stay in Rochester just go here. Perfect stay.

A fresh coat of paint, and some hipster artwork/lighting doesn't cover up enough of the problems here.

The bed is the hardest, firmest, plank of wood I've ever slept on. The pillows are so small and thin you might as well not use them, they are barely the size of your head. There is clear stains on everything that they tried to get out. The hearing also took about 10 hours to heat the room, the wall heater just blows cold air.

There is no mini-fridge, no microwave, no anything. The TV barely functions, remotes don't work.

The bathroom is weird. Barn door gives no privacy. The water is cloudy and smells weird. There is no where to hang towels, because the one rack is ripped from the wall. Also, they clearly do not clean well because there was an old beer can in the bathroom. Stained towels.

Walls are very thin, constant thumping from cars running over something outside.

Overall, this hotel should be charging $50 a night not $100-130. Some paint doesn't cover up the fact this is an outdated, overpriced, roadside motel.

Horrible allergies after staying here, probably due to the fact there is food inside vents of the heater on the wall.

Also, no one to check you in, which is just weird.

My stay at Hotel on Monroe was cosy, warming, and comforting. Once I entered my room, I noticed how clean, and beautiful the room was. I really like the modern touch that was put into the styling of the room. My favorite part of my stay was the strong shower, and the beautiful bathroom floor tiling. I believe there is a need for more mirrors, an option for firmer pillows, and an extra blanket. Overall I felt safe with the extra cameras on the property and the extra safety steps you have to complete in-order to get your room keys. I do believe the breakfast option needs improvement. I would have loved to have seen yogurt, cereal, etc.

One of the best designed hotels of that type.

My key-card failed and when calling, I was provide with an emergency keycard that allowed me to open my own room - and also any other door of the motel.
That was pretty cool that I could open any door I tried. Guest rooms, front office, etc.

It seems some great ideas went into revamping this hotel, but with the limited staff, things seem to keep falling apart (blinds, TVs, doors, AC,) and there is no-one to tell to fix it.
My recommendations only resulted in an automated message from an email that does not accept responses.

Needed a place for one night and picked Hotel on Monroe based on other reviews. Great renovation! The rooms are modern and sleek. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have stayed in. The property and rooms are clean and inviting. What a pleasant surprise! So glad I chose this hotel!

Very quiet area and safe.rooms were spotless and clean service was great. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Recommend this hotel if you're visiting in the Rochester n.y area.

This is a glorified roadside motel. The design updates in the room are attractive, and the bathrooms are extremely nice. However, overall is very bare bones- no mirror in the room itself, no toilet paper holder, no towel racks or hooks in the bathroom, access to the second floor is only by grim staircases at the end of each landing. We did like the automated room key pickup and return, but that also meant we didn't interact with the staff, who reviews indicate are very nice and helpful. Fine if you just need a clean place to sleep (unless you are very sensitive to noise, because it is right next to a fairly busy road).

My boyfriend & I had a great stay here! I was a bit skeptical at first since it was a holiday inn where I usually stay, but it was quiet, perfect location, very clean & great customer service. We would definitely recommend staying here, as we will as well in the future!

We recently stayed at the Hotel on Monroe. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. I loved all the USB ports! Very clean. The owner is wonderful.

Transferred from another hotel that was a disaster and the ownership took care of us. Highly recommend
