Housing Works Thrift Shops - Chelsea reviews
16Well curated thrift shop with amazing finds. Quite a few clothing companies or designers donate their stuff here, so always good finds guaranteed. Lots of never been worn items.
Ranked #1 of my favorite Thrift in NYC the employees are a class act and have excellent customer service.
Great selection of clothing, shoes, furniture, books, etc. Also one of their staff, Wash, was really kind to help me disassemble a lamp I had purchased to take on the train. Thanks!

I would've gave them a 5 Star but the lack of knowledgement, I came by at 3: PM to buy 2 long sleeve dress shirts, white & gray well the white 1 fitted since it was for Work Right now use, at 6: 47PM i pass by just to "switch" the Extra Extra Large gray shirt Only since, for another T-shirt maybe something better i pay the diff dnt matter, but besides that, 1 of the employees there didn't hesitate to say that can't take stuff back to switch it, i couldn't do nothing with the gray shirt the white 1 was the only one that fitted me so i had it on for work, gray 1 still with tag no use, i told him respectfully he could have the shirt since it does me no use cause it's oversized, i peeped how they took the shirt back ASAP, atleaat Donate the shirt Don't you dare put it back in those shelves SMH
This is the place! Couldn’t believe the prices and unique finds. If you live here you better wake up hahaha glad we did
If you’re planning to donate furniture you need to email them for approval first at chelseamanagers at housingworks.org FYI
I often donate to this location because it is for a great cause. Great shopping experience and friendly staff.
The staff at this location are very friendly and helpful. I find the assortment of apparel in the Chelsea store more high end and fashionable than some of the other locations. The selection is extremely well curated and displayed. The windows are always very interesting.a little quirky which I like. Wonderful place to browse. Great finds.
Better selection of designer and stylish goods than at other locations but that also means higher prices.
Women and men’s Shoes, boots, dishes, dolls, furniture, jackets, clothes, and more. I go into this thrift shop almost every day to see what has come in. Oh they also have jewelry. I really like the selections and most of the price is very reasonable
This is a bit more premium than most other thrift stores like Goodwill, Crossroads, Buffalo Exchange. Most pants and blouses were $20 but there were cheaper ones, as well as more expensive ones. The aesthetics were very chic and more organized than other thrift stores I’ve been to. If you’re in the area, would recommend.
Yes it's a little bit dirty here, but everything is so cheap. I don't like wearing used cloth so I didn't check out their cloth section. However, their funiture and items like bowls and plates are pretty good to me. Given their super low price, I am giving this place a 4-star. If factor out the price, 2.5-star maybe?
The most amazing thrift shop in the world! I bought a Panama hat and a ferragamo flats that fit like a glove!
Good selection, Good vibes, prices are a bit higher than Salvation Army, but selection, store and decor are good quality.
Always a good place for quirky as well as regular stuff you may find useful in your daily life. They have other locations too. It's a thrift shop. But don't expect a very regular thrift shop when you show up here.
