AVOID AVOID AVOID!

For the past two years, I've had an awful experience at h&r block. This year, I even went to a different location in Astoria, because I thought maybe the awfulness was specific to the 30th ave location - BUT I WAS WRONG! They were still awful.

A few days ago, I called this office asking for an appointment. The man I spoke with was helpful and kind. He called me back a couple hours later and said they can squeeze me in for an appointment today, Saturday, at noon. He also said if I could upload my documents before the appointment, it would speed the appointment along. I happily did so.

This morning, it was raining, so I took an Uber to the h&r block, only to get there and be told that they are too busy to see me at all. "Can you just upload your documents online? "

Shouldn't they have called me this morning to say that they could not keep my appointment?
Or shouldn't they have just told me in the first place that I could just upload my documents and that an appointment was unnecessary?

I've now wasted half of my Saturday for an appointment that they couldn't keep, I'm out of the money I spent on the uber, and I'm no closer to getting my taxes done.

Like I said - AVOID AVOID AVOID!
