HUBB NYC Properties reviews
18They have been so responsive and sensitive to iyr individual needs. In the fifteen years that I've lived in NYC (in five different buildings), I have never had a building go out of it's way to accommodate us. W a breath of fresh air! The building is impeccable and we'll maintained.
I had a fantastic experience living in a HUBB building. Everything was fixed on time and quickly. I worked with Christina often in NYC and she was so responsive and helpful, sad to move out. Awesome finest NY living experience.
I would strongly advise against renting a HUBB property. I've been residing at one of their properties for approximately a year and a half. The water has been shut off for extended periods with limited or zero notice approximately 10 times over the space of approximately six weeks. Every time I call HUBB to complain I am routed to a third party company who field their calls, who tell me they cannot do anything to help, but they'll pass along the message to the HUBB. HUBB has never replied to any of these calls. I have also emailed the building manager directly, and he has never replied to me. There is no other method of contacting them.
Additionally, through various renovation projects there has only been a handful of weeks in the past year and a half where the hallway hasn't been a complete mess, covered in cardboard and plastic sheets, with workmen in the hallways playing music and making noise. The building is barely habitable.
Hubb bought out. Hooding and proceeded to “renovate” for two years -
And it’s still going on. The elevator goes out regularly and they take days to repair. When you call for small problems in your apartment they respond quickly but large expensive building issues are rarely addressed. Worse management company I have ever encountered.
I'm only giving them one star because I can't give them negative stars.
THIS LANDLORD IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST.
They acquired the building I had been living in for two years and immediately things got worse. They changed how work orders were submitted so things never got done. They refused to honor part of my agreement with the previous landlord and took my security deposit to pay for rent I didn't owe. They will look for any excuse to deduct from your security deposit including charging $20 to wipe off a sink faucet.
Worst landlords ever. Do not ever rent from these guys. They will screw you over.
I am a brand new tenant at 400 West 56th Street. I cannot say enough good things about the HUBB NYC Management Company. They addressed every issue I asked them to before I moved in. Response time is very quick and they are the utmost professionals. The building managers always respond to questions and take care of any issue that comes up. I was nervous moving to a building with a large management company, but my experience couldn't be more opposite. I would recommend to any of my friends to move into a HUBB Building. Looking forward to many years ahead!
I live at 344 East 85th Street in Manhattan. There is a bar, Ryan's Daughter, next door. The bar's drunk patrons stand outside the bar from 10AM to 4AM smoking and screaming. The smoke enters all the front apartments and the noise wakes us all night long. Calls to 311 and 911 help but it is every night. Turning on the air conditioner helps and shutting the windows helps but you have to live that way. When they are drunk they like to scream, which occurs mostly on the weekends, the noise is louder than the air conditioner and wakes us.
There is major construction on a building on 84th street that begins 7AM every day including weekends. The noise will wake you. It is to be partially completed in 2017 but may be longer than that.
I am coming up on my year anniversary of living in a HUBB building. I have to say after living in two other buildings during my time in NYC and having terrible experiences with both landlords (roaches, disgusting common areas, general rudeness, etc), I expected more of the same this time around. However, I have been pleasantly surprised by how accommodating and responsive the HUBB team has been. When a problem has arisen, I have had zero problems with having it addressed quickly. I'd definitely recommend living in a HUBB building to anyone.
Nice new apartments at 400 W 56th St. Nicely done apartments with 3 permanent a/c units, washer/dryer and great location. Management works well with renter and is responsive. The upgrades make the apartments a step above most, including he hi rises.
While it can be easy to get lost in the sea of HUBB's many properties and renters, which pits your immediate concerns against the dozens of other buildings under their control, I can honestly say that they do great work overall. Life as a tenant is decidedly good. I have 5 months left on my lease and will write I final review when I move out, but at the end of the day these are hard-working people. If you can find a way to work with them they will do their best to take care of you.
My building was sold to Hubb after I had lived there for a few years. While the updates and construction they did on the building were moderately annoying, I was extremely impressed by Tomas Ordonez, the property manager. He worked extraordinarily hard to mediate between the comfort of the residents and the management compony. When my rent was raised significantly, he worked with me to update my apartment - even when the job turned out to be far more expensive than they had been quoted, he made sure that I got what was promised to me - something that is extremely rare in any sort of building management. I saw him at our building frequently, and he would check in on individual residents to see if repairs or work was had been completed to our satisfaction. He noticed everything and kept everyone to a high standard. Overall great guy, and absolutely the reason why the new management company was palatable to the residents.
Incredible service from Hubb last weekend. After the janitor discovered my door was left ajar, management called to check all was ok. I was away for the weekend and naturally worried why the door was open. Beyond the call of duty, at 9pm on a Friday night, Alyce Shomer travelled from Brooklyn to LES to check all was ok. Thankfully it was and huge thanks to Alyce for being so helpful.
Moving can be stressful, especially if you move across the country. Thankfully, Hubb NYC has Edgar Ortiz. Edgar is the property manager for my building is very responsive and follows through on requests very quickly. He helped to make my move so much easier.
HUBB NYC is the best. They make everything very easy and stress free.
Edgar Ortiz is my building manager and he makes a point to accommodate your requests and is always helpful. Definitely will use these guys again!
We initially had some issues with the first unit we leased from HUBB NYC due to some unforeseen problems in the building. HUBB was extremely accommodating and helped us locate a new unit in one of their buildings that we could move into immediately. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy in our new home.
I am a tenant at 152 Ludlow. This landlord has done a great job of updating the property and looking after their tenants in the process. I am a big fan of the building manager Tomas who always goes out of his way to help me when I need something in the building.
I had the privilege to reside at 336 east 81st street. My experience with Hubb is equivalent of a deluxe condo, they keep the property kept immaculately, if maintenance was ever needed in the 2 years i lived there, they were on top of it, and even small requests out of their whelm of responsibilities they went out of their way to accommodate. Bravo to Hubb, and their team for their high degree of professionalism. Sincerely, MM
Very good management Company; kind with tenants; helpful and quickly respond to a work order! I strongly recommend Hubb building! If you want to move somewhere!
