The service was decent for the most part. Most of the drinks on the menu was not available so I settled for the "cucumber soda" which was not very tasty. Food was also okay, nothing really to boast about. Ambiance was nice and they do ofter outdoor seating in the back.

I worked here as a server and made lifelong friends, then continued to come as a guest for years. Every time I send a friend here, they come out happy. I can’t recommend this special west vil place enough:). The cheesecake is especially tasty! Brunch is good (esp the Benedict) and there is a nice garden in the back. Romantic but not stuffy spot for dinner, too.

We were seated up at the bar, a nice place to get to watch the chefs cook. The atmosphere is nice. Staff was very kind and attentive.

The eggs Benedict were beautiful but the flavor was just fine.

The cornflake crusted french toast was very good. If we were to go again we would get it and another dish.

Found this place by walking past. We found super friendly staff, gorgeous setting. Amazing food and stunning coffee!

Had to go back for a second visit before leaving New York.

Great place for a chilled brunch with friends

Not only is the menu consistently good, (even with dietary subs) I got the gnocchi and it was perfect, but the staff is also so chill and helpful.

No matter how busy the restaurant got, our server came by and never rushed us. She answered ALL our annoying menu question and made recommendations for food that really fit our mood! It’s the best post-pandemic restaurant experience I’ve had thus far.

Ok so here's the scoop.worked in the neighborhood for 10 years and used to go here all the time but then I went primarily plant based and couldn't find stuff on the menu other than sides

That has all changed and I'm so grateful.feel like I got reunited with one of my best friends! They have a ton of vegan options that are straight up delicious!

Gotta call out the crew as they made us feel like family: Steven was the best waiter.super patient and explained everything. Cassidy (sp?) Is the "Maître d'hôtel" that welcomed us right away.finally one guy got me like 3 sides of hot sauce and didn't even look at me funny.thanks Hot Sauce guy and the Chefs who create magic!

Food was ok, but definitely did not match the hype. Ordered the fried artichoke "hearts" and all I got was a weird little pile of fried artichoke leaves - underwhelming. Scallops were fine, but overwhelmed by an inexplicably large pile of sliced apples on the plate - note to chef: if you're only going to serve 3 scallops on a plate (totally fine choice), maybe just leave it at that instead of having your diners dig through a bunch of fillers they aren't that interested in. Tagliatelle was good - no complaints. Bread pudding on-point. Not a huge fan of the space - way overcrowded, but I get the desire to pack in the paying customers. Best aspect of the meal was the servers - they were clearly in the weeds and still knocking it out. Good work, team!

Fabulous brunch. Highly recommend the pancakes starter, duck mash, and gnocci. In fact basically everything looked good so you can't go wrong.

Eh. Had apps and the Hangar steak which was so small, I'm glad I had appetizers. Steak was flavorful but nothing special IMO. Pretty expensive for what you get. Attentive and nice staff. Cozy ambiance but I'll pass next time.

Good brunch, New American standards, outdoor seating is wonderful, shady, and quiet in the summer. Brûléed grapefruit is awesome!

Awful brunch experience on 12/4/21. We came to Hudson Clearwater with a resy for 4 people. After browsing the website online & checking the Yelp page, we thought it would be a nice place to take our out of town guests. First off, the seating is wild. Tables are crammed so close together (& close to the wall) that a petite person can’t even stand up after their meal and put their coat on. Secondly, we ordered 4 bloody Mary’s that were undrinkable. The mix tasted awful & was so thick. One of us sent it back immediately and ordered a glass of wine instead. The 3 remaining bloodys sat on our table filled to the top our whole brunch. Not only did we never get asked if everything was alright by our waitress, but we got charged for all 4 bloodys + the glass of wine replaced by the sent back one. Overall, the bill for 4 bloodys, 1 glass of wine, 1 cinnamon roll, & 2 shared avocado toasts was $117 before tip. We live in the neighborhood but will definitely not be returning.

I love this place, the food and cocktails are always reliably good. Brought my cousin and his wife here while they were visiting and both loved it. Great helpful staff.

Hudson Clearwater used to be one of my favorite restaurants in the city and for some reason, I didn’t go there for more than two years, so I was quite excited to go back.
Went with a friend who visited from overseas and we both had a great experience. She ordered the duck and loved it. I got the hanger steak that was very tasty (although not the filling so get another side dish if you’re hungry).
I also love their east coast oyster.

Terrible ribeye. Literally couldn't eat it. Also make you pay at the table with an iPad which just makes paying a little less enjoyable.

The service was so bad here that I’ve blocked out most of the experience. What is most disappointing is that the bad service wasn’t for lack of servers or staff (from what it looked like). My cousin asked for a glass of wine and after 20 minutes we had to inquire on if it was coming or not by flagging down whoever would glance at our table. I truly do not remember what I ate besides a plate of bacon and it’s only been a week since I was there. Bacon is bacon, obvs it was delicious. Clearly the rest of it was passable because I’d remember if it was bad or it was amazing and is just being over shown by how disappointing the service was. For there to have been two tables with 2-4 people at them to turn over 2x in the amount of time it took 2 people to order an entree each and two drinks, is ridiculous. If we had been the table that was just chatting and hanging out and the server came up to us 3x to take our order and we were like “oh, so sorry! Haven’t looked yet” I’d understand the delay but that was not the case. Overall, it was a cute place with a hot bartender so if you get the same level of service, at least sit facing the bar so you can have some eye candy while you wait impatiently for your bacon.

First time here for dinner last night. Overall a good time and the food was tasty. Leaving off one star because the drinks were more citrus juice than anything else (I got the Lila Jane and the Duchess… Duchess was the better of the two). The juice was fresh at least. We were 15 minutes early to our dinner reservation and seated immediately. The service was great. Our server was attentive and our water glasses were always kept full. Portion sizes were just right for me. It’s on the pricy side but it’s the West Village. No surprise there. Bathrooms downstairs are clean too! I didn’t take any pictures because I was too busy eating:)
