Hudson Ferry Co.

We had so much fun going to and from Athens. We were offered locally made donuts and cider and other beverages for a very small fee and when it was chilly on the return ride, they had blankets to keep us warm. A great way to cross the Hudson!

We took the twilight tour and had a great time! The water was calm, and the scenery was beautiful, plus the tour guide provided some talking points that we enjoyed. Overall it was a relaxing tour and we look forward to doing it again sometime next season!

While the lighthouse tour I did was great I wish they had more Ferry service across to Athens and I wish there other tours were longer like other boat tours.

The Hudson Valley has so many treasures and Hudson Ferry Co.is definitely one of them. Our hour-long evening tour was so relaxing thanks to the beautiful scenery and awesome crew. My kid and I watched the sunset paint the river gold. Simply beautiful. Seeing an osprey and catching sight of meteors at the conclusion of our trip were also special treats. Highly recommend!

We took the sunset cruise from Hudson NY and had a wonderful time on the roughly 50 minute trip. Lovely views. The crew was personal, professional and very informative.

What a great way to traverse the Hudson! We took the ferry from Athens back to Hudson after a 20 mile bike ride. Captain and "crew" were amazing! Friendliest folks you could ever want to meet. Took us around the lighthouse, had refreshments on board just a great15 minute ride. Definitely take the ride even if just for something to do.

Used this fantastic service to link up a bike tour loop in conjunction with the bridge in Catskill. Booking was easy, nice service and personal touch. Great crew, lovely ride. Can’t wait to come up with an excuse for another visit!

First time taking the Ferry from Athens to Hudson and it won’t be my last! The crew is wonderful and made the experience really enjoyable. It was a great way to go to Hudson for dinner and come home without driving across the bridge. Definitely excited to continue using the ferry throughout the summer.

We were really surprised to see that there’s also inside seating when it rains.

I booked a last minute Airbnb in Athens for a weekend writer’s retreat happening in Hudson. I used the Hudson Ferry Co.to get back and forth. Really friendly crew, pleasant boat ride and the drop off in Athens was very convenient to my Airbnb. I won’t hesitate to use the Hudson Ferry Co.for future trips upstate from the city. Nice way to travel between Hudson and Athens.

Took the ferry to stay at Stewart House for a relaxing weekend. What a fun way to spend a carless weekend out of the city! Walkable from the Amtrack and drops you right in Athens. Crew is super friendly and the short ferry ride takes you on a little jaunt around the lighthouse for a few extra minutes on the water. Highly recommend!

My wife and I took a sunset cruise on a recent Saturday night. The crew was amazing, very attentive and friendly. We went south from Hudson and went down to Catskill, including under the bridge. We were treated to a beautiful sunset and spectacular views throughout. It wasn’t busy, and we got to sit at the front of the boat to maximize the panoramic views.

I’d highly recommend the sunset cruise or any others that are offered! Thanks again to the crew!
