Hudson House, Nyack NY

This is the absolute best place around! I’ve been coming here for years. The atmosphere is unique, the servers are awesome (especially Jose), the food is Michelin quality and the desserts…all homemade by Matt himself! I would eat here everyday if I could! This is the only restaurant I order appetizers, entrees and desserts. I leave completely overstuffed but can’t do it any other way! You must try this place and make sure to break Jose’s chops for me

Amazing restaurant. Never disappoints. Braised short rib is amazing, so is the duck. Staff and the owner are very nice and thoughtful.

My family and I always enjoy a wonderful experience when we dine at Hudson House! Matt Hudson, the talented owner, greets everyone with warmth. He bakes the exquisite desserts. The menu is so delicious and prepared with creativity. The attention to detail is evident in all the various foods that are prepared. The staff is cordial, helpful, and professional. The interior is so inviting and beautifully decorated. It is an absolute pleasure to dine in this lovely restaurant!

Gem of a restaurant located in the beautiful village of Nyack. Service is top notch and the food is excellent. It’s always an easy recommendation for anyone visiting and has been my favorite place in town ever since moving to Nyack. And don’t skip dessert!

Wow wow wow! Nyc food and service in Rockland country! Always go with the specials, they’re much more exciting than the regular menu. Desserts are amazing! Never had a port in an old fashioned but it’s was an amazing rendition of the classic drink!

Very good food and service. High-end for the area. Reservations are recommended. A little pricey, but worth it!

I went there for dinner today for my birthday. Not only was the food delicious, Israel the server was very helpful and answered all my questions. Mr Hudson asked for my name and remembered it when they brought my dessert and sang happy birthday. What a great place. Thank you for making it special.

My wife and I have been going to Hudson House for a couple years now and it never disappoints. I'm a huge fan of the pork chop and my wife loves the fish but all of their entrees are delicious. Matt (owner) is very personable and truly understands how to run a restaurant; always trying to fit us in during peak times (without a reservation). Waiters are extremely nice and can't do enough for you. I think this is one of the best restaurants in Rockland County. Its great for a date night, the ambiance is perfect. Get there early for a craft cocktail at the bar and make sure you enjoy their homemade desserts (crack pie is legend)!

This is what you want a restaurant to be. Matt is a great restauranteur who makes amazing food. Everything is fresh, unique and delicious, have never had a bad meal here. Always timely seating, great service and food you never mind spending for. The duck is my favorite anywhere, but Matt is also a great pastry chef and we always leave room for desert here. They are in a class by themselves.

This is by far my favorite place in the world to eat I have yet to explore the world internationally except for Haiti this place just reads comfort love support happiness. I love Mat Hudson (chef/dessert maker/server/bartender) he’s great the way he participates the photography he has taken his artistry through the images in the store and through the food mainly the desserts. I always feel welcome there. There has been times that I have walked in without a reservation and he always took the time to find seating for me. I love Alexis (server) I always hope to get her when I arrive her spirit is lovely and she’s super attentive My favorite items to get is shrimp and grits and any steak they have to offer but as for now the hanger steak is my favorite this is a small plate place except the food it Pops with flavors out of this world the menu is simple The food unique the people wonderful every single time I hope this stays open for a hundred years

Celebrated at 50th Birthday event on August 27. Everything was excellent! The service, the drinks and the food especially the brisket and the chocolate creme bruise was OMG for me!

I would definitely go back with my husband for a date night.

We went on Labor Day and it was surprisingly very busy. It's been a top eatery in Nyack for over 20 years and the food was good. The tuna app was delish, my GF's duck was even better. I had the bass special which was also very tasty, although the amount of fish was on the small side. The dessert named crack cake pretty much describes what it was like.

Really had a nice time here. Went for dinner and we had the steak for 2 with the roasted potatoes and broccoli rabe. Everything came out perfectly and delicious. The dessert was really good as well. Nice service too.

I have absolutely found a new favorite restaurant which is Hudson House. Everything about the experience from walking in to walking out is incredible. The staff are amazing, personable, intentional, kind, energetic and so much more. Our go to server is Jose and he is a firecracker! The owner Matt is so kind and engaged with all customers. The stories you’ll hear from his background and of the restaurant’s history are special! My fave plates are: short rib, gnudi, tiger shrimp pasta and OF COURSE crack pie!

Let’s start off by mentioning this is my all time favorite place to eat in Nyack. For the year and some change I was a resident, when family or friends visited from out of town, THIS was the place I brought them! They are consistent, professional, friendly, and the atmosphere is always positive. The food never disappoints, the dessert is worth becoming a diabetic over! The bar tender makes incredible drinks and are at times offered as specials. I highly vote that the Elderberry Martini be added to the menu permanently. I love you guys!

My second visit to the restaurant this time for my and my brother-in-law’s birthday celebrations at our favorite table. The food is absolutely exquisite the desserts are unbelievably delicious made by co-owner Matt Hudson- The ambience is charming and the wait staff is absolutely the best! I highly recommend dining here —We most certainly look forward to returning! It is now my favorite restaurant in New York!

My friend and I stopped and she treated us to a slice of key lime pie to go. It was outstanding as was the service. Matt Hudson and his team are A+
