Hunt & Fish Club reviews
16The food is out of this world and the service even better! Carlos was outstanding and friendly. Perfect. We will be back
Well located in the A Terminal of New York La Guardia Airport. Nicely designed and clean.
Good menu, delicious food and fair prices. Staff was attentive, courteous and friendly.
Really enjoyed our waitress — she was very chatty and friendly! Very cool, upscale vibes but a little sad to see that it wasn’t busy at 7pm on a Friday.
Participated in Restaurant Week menu so we had the tuna and stuffed mushrooms, beef tornadoes and salmon, and the blueberry shortcake.
All the food was delish and the kitchen sent out complimentary asparagus and mashed potatoes. My fav thing was actually the popovers — so yummy!
Hunt and fish club was great! One of their employees Candace was such a doll! One of my friends wasn’t completely satisfied with their steak and she went above and beyond to make sure we are satisfied. Seriously the best!
July 2023:
Enjoyed a delicious dinner before we saw a Broadway show.
We were here for restaurant week where we got a prix fixe dinner for $60. Quite a good deal!
I started out with a draft beer, Almost Famous, from Torch and Crown.
For my starter, I had the sesame crusted tuna with crackers. This was tasty.
For my main, I had the miso salmon on a bed of edamame? Mash. The fish was cooked perfectly. Got a nice sear on one side.
For my dessert, I had the shortcake with lemon ice cream. This was a great way to end the meal!
The restaurant is elegant. Service was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back again for more delicious food!
Went with my wife and a friend on July 21. They both ordered filet mignon with mashed potatoes (extraordinary taste). I ordered french onion soup (very well prepared with gruyère), and scallops with a side serving of fried brussel sprouts and bacon. My scallops were large, tender, and juicy. The brussel sprouts were tasty. As for the filet mignons, in the opinion of my wife and her friend, tasted good, especially with the chimichurri sauce. We all shared a carrot cake. My wife's friend had Pinot Noir, and my wife had Riesling. The latter, which I tasted, was excellent. As for the service, the employees were attentive to all our needs. The ambiance was quiet, and the lighting breathed calm. The place is expensive. However, if you want an excellent dining experience, you can not go wrong with this restaurant.
Thank you Liam, service was great, food was even better. Chef Chad really outdid himself on the menu, thank you again for making the birthday girls night.
Made a reservation for my girlfriends birthday and the food WAS SO SALTY. The salt was unbearable that it burned the top layer of my tongue! (not even exaggerating). Everything had a strong taste of vinegar even the steak. The atmosphere was dark with great lighting but it blinds the consumer to what an awful experience you are about to have. My girlfriend and I are a young Hispanic couple. During our time at this establishment there were a party of 4 (white) behind us and everyone treated them with smiles and giggles. However, we were treated as if we did not belong as if we couldn’t afford the dinner we were having. The uncomfortable look the waiter had on his face was so cruel I could see right through him. STAY AWAY!
I keep it simple at steak houses. A little filet, mash, veggies and Macallan 12. I got to go back and order the jumbo onion rings. The service is great. The staff is friendly and attentive.
Hunt & Fish Club is truly a gem. Celebrated my anniversary here and it was amazing! So glad to have tried their clam linguini (9/10), mac and cheese (10/10) with the perfect crunch, and burnt lemon chicken (9/10)! The ambiance was to die for and the drinks were pretty good. The drinks weren’t as strong to me and were pretty pricey tbh, but they were enjoyable nonetheless. I’d love to visit again!
Great service, wonderful food, beautiful space, but loud, really loud when busy. If you want conversation with someone, sit at the bar, full menu available, and you don't have to shout at each other.
The new LGA place is to be avoided. Nobody works there. The hostess kept telling all the people coming up that it would be 10 to 15 minutes until tables were cleaned. Then just plopped herself down, not helping the staff at all. We finally got a seat next to her stand and I set an old drink from the last person on her stand. She mumbled something and set it back on my bar area. We just left. I’m sure it’s hard to find decent workers today but this one is costing you a lot of money. 7: 00pm on 5/19.
Came in yesterday everything was absolutely beautiful until the end of our dinner. We paid 450 for two which was fine with us both because we had an amazing dinner but at the end my friend whose birthday it was decided she wanted to finally take a picture as we walked out of the restaurant. We were taking pictures because we were there for an hour and a half and did not stand not even once so we thought no biggie plus there weren't a lot of people inside as it was the end of the night. Anyways we’re taking pictures and finally a gentleman walks over and states “I hate to be that person but your light is blinding the other side”. Now we’re adults so if that was the case we understood BUT there were not one but 2 big birthday groups on the premises as well who had a photographer as well as the exact light we had and nothing was mentioned to them at all they took photos with their lights the entire time while we were there and even after the gentlemen walked over to us they still were taking pictures “with a light” and he walked right by them and said nothing. I totally understand if photos cannot be taken (menu states at the bottom that the place is social media friendly) I just feel be fair to everyone who is patronizing in your establishment it’s not ok to say oh well these 2 ladies can’t take a picture but the 2 birthday groups onsite can. Before he walked up to us everything was great.
Great vibrant space and we had a wonderful family style meal. Swordfish and tater tots were standouts.
So impressed! My husband and I loved it. Beautiful atmosphere and great staff. The food was soooooo good and the service was impeccable. We arrived early and sat at the bar before being seated. Our bartender needs to do a TED talk. (Yes the drinks were that good.) We started with the bread and butter (unique and AWESOME by the way). The cold seafood salad was amazing. My husband loved the roasted bone marrow appetizer. We also tried the gnocchi with lobster and caviar tasting plate.this was so good.it should be an entree. For dinner I had the stuffed lobster and my husband had the ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. Dessert was also lovely. Now the service- everyone and I mean everyone who assisted us was absolutely top notch. Our server was friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable about the dishes. The assistant servers were lovely as well. We had the opportunity to meet the General Manager, Duncan who was very personable and is doing a wonderful job in hiring of the staff. We will definitely be returning.
Everything was from the lobster Mac n cheese, steak, Burnt lemon chicken to the drinks. I'm still thinking about it
