Hyatt House White Plains

Very bad experience with the 2 folks in the front desk, they have the system for Apple pay and electronics wallet and they refuse to use it, they ask for physical card, and the option is to fill an authorization form, but this 2 folks didn't know about the third option, and make a big deal to get me a room. I even a member of the Hyatt, with many stays all over the country, it didn't matter to them, they refused to accept my electronic wallet. So the supposed manager went to talk or call a hotel director and finally the director told them to use the authorization form, which they have nicely setup online. So I have been mistreated by this to individuals at the Hyatt, then main elevator were broken, it make things even worse. I'm going back to check up the ratings before I trust any Hyatt.

I was very disappointed for a $300/night room. The toilet paper roll was about 85% used, the shower sliding door wouldn't slide, the microwave control panel was extremely dirty and I wasn't a fan of the bedroom vent blasting air directly in my face.

The hotel is good, the room was good.the problem was the payments.we booked through a third party.when you come they asked you to pay.if I was a tourist I will get trapped.lucky I received a text saying it was paid.and the I got charged for the 100 dollars deposit twice.lucky I checked my bank account.and the worst the black lady at the front desk got an attitude saying I don't know anything about these payments.so be careful.not well managed. I was there with my husband because I had to go to hospital for a procedure.not able to drive home!

Was hoping for more dinner options. I have been to other Hyatt's that offered better food.

Nice location and fairly nice rooms, but the service was incredibly poor. Clearly there is no communication between staff because they kept mixing up our room after we had already checked in. They called multiple times for verification and they even came to our room to wake us up in the middle of the night because they forgot which room we were in and wanted to confirm. Upon arrival, the toilet and shower were both clogged. It took several phone calls to the front desk over the course of two days for them to finally come fix it and when they did, the engineer refused to plunge the toilet, blaming us (the new guests) for the existing issues and told us to plunge and clean the bathroom ourselves. From the moment he entered the room, he engaged with us in a rude and disrespectful manner. After plunging the toilet, he left a mess in the bathroom, so we called the front desk to ask if either he or housekeeping would come to clean up the mess. The person working the front desk responded with “I’ll talk to the guy and if he doesn’t want to do it, then I’ll talk to housekeeping. ” We are currently waiting for them. Housekeeping never came to clean this morning, despite a request, so I have little hope that they’ll come take care of this.

Decent rooms.

They’re bar and kitchen states it closes at 11pm. When I entered I double checked with the front desk attendant if their kitchen was still open around 9: 30p and he confirmed it’s open until 11pm.

I visited the bar around 10: 10p after checking in, waited awhile for the bar attendant to return, asked him for a menu he stated “the kitchen just closed. ”

Closer to 4.5 however my mom loves our room so I gave it a fiver. We were upgraded to a two bedroom suite and were thanked for our status. Off to a great start. So close to Wegmans and we got dessert from there last night. Open the door to a desk living room and nicely appointed kitchen. I love having fridge freezer and microwave. There is a bedroom with bathroom on both sides. Perfect for families or couples. Breakfast was standard fair however was only until 9am which is early for a holiday was early. Staff seemed nice and they have a small laundry room and a small business center with printer. Overall I enjoyed my stay and we would be here again for sure.

A nice hotel with suites. It’s a pet friendly hotel and there are a lot of lovely dogs around walking with their owners. The room is spacious and the sofa can turn into a sofa bed. Comfortably sleep 3 people (or 4 smaller people) in the room. Ample parking spaces. Convenient location as it is right next to the main road. Only take a few minutes drive to go into the city centre. Breakfast is good with hot food, cereals, bakery goods and tea and coffee, etc. The hotel was newly renovated but you can still see some old features like the ancient lift. But it’s well maintained. Would visit again if I am in the area.

Our arrival was in the evening and we stayed overnight to attend a conference in the morning. Food was ordered from the bar. The attendants were cordial and made us feel comfortable, serving us wings and a salad. Room accommodations were excellent. We stayed in a suite with two bedrooms. My travel partner and I had ample privacy. Very clean, attractive, and relaxing place to stay.

Stood here over a month the place needs a lot of work one of the elevators didn’t work the handicap door would work when it wanted to the breakfast was the same and could have been so much better I had 6 times where we had no hot water on the morning sometimes I had to wait a whole day for supplies paid almost $16,000 and the place does not equal for how much there charge you not to mention the limited tv channels and the bedroom door in my 2 room suite had no lock some of the phones on the floor had no cords so they didn’t work place needs a huge upgrade for what they charge and front desk some where so nice but one laugh when I said I need hot water for a shower I need to go out, I will say this housekeeping and maintenance were awesome whenever I needed something they would provide but it’s safe to say I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE also I slipped in the lobby and hurt my back and was in pain for 2 days cause not to mention I saw 2 others almost fall cause the floor had to much soap and all the manger did was give me $20 Visa card to reimburse me for my meds like I could have sued you and you didn’t even comp me dinner from your bar
Yeah don’t bother coming here not worth the money they charge! They charge you for champagne but end up serving you apple juice and they need to upgrade the laundry room only 2 washing machines that you need to bend on the floor and the size of a small microwave and the carts you use to carry your belongings are broke and limited safe to say ghetto ville and no COFFEE like other hotels that charge half the price they have ice tea that was watered down but removed that and only offer nasty lemon water and this was in the most expensive part town SO DISAPPOINTED I AL CALLING CORPORATE

I love this location, I've stayed here at least 3 other times.and have always made the reservation for the dayuse in a standard double room, BUT For some reason the receptionist this time around gives me a single bed single room. When I realized it and asked to be changed to what I booked, she tells me the Dayuse guest only get the single room and that she has never seen any dayuse guest get a standard double room. She Never tried to get her manager or see what she could do for me since I did pay for a standard double room. She didn't seem interested to fix or accommodate my reservation.

Really liked this hotel. My wife, my adult son, and me in a one bedroom suite. Very efficient room layout with full kitchen. Breakfast ok. Loved the assistance from the staff in being able to check in early!

We ordered Mcdonalds from Uber eats and it was stolen from the front desk. The security guard wasn’t helpful saying drunk college kids steal food often. We had some words he said he could go get a gun from his car if I wanted. That wasn’t cool. I told the manager in the morning and asked for the footage and she was not helpful and rude. Her name is Anna-Kay Reid. She also said she would watch the tape but would not call the police, tell me who took my food, or refund my money. It was unprofessional.

After a rough first night, I had a great hot shower and this place stepped in and really helped me out! Had a medical emergency and the kind lady at the front desk stayed on the phone with me while managers came to my room with paramedics not far behind. Thankful for the staff and grateful they had my back. Always Grateful

This hotel was booked for me by my employer so I had no choice. And honestly if I had I might not have picked here, but I don't know what else is in the area either. I am really not impressed so far. But I have only been here a few hours.

AWFUL. Disrespectful and condescending staff from check in to check out. Everything was an issue, especially with Margaret. Don’t stay here unless you want issues.

Dog friendly. Didn't appreciate trying to sleep while dogs were barking or having to switch rooms after traveling 9 hours. Staff is exceptional and accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was good.

The location of the hotel was very convenient which is why we selected to stay here. We were quite disappointed however in the facility and the care taken by the staff.
On the surface the outdoor common area was a nice touch with the grills and firepit. It fell way short as in the entire week we stayed at the hotel neither was cleaned a single time. The grills were totally unsanitary, the firepit area had bird droppings all over and even when we complained and requested that it be cleaned we were told they were "understaffed and would not be able to get to it this week".
The room was had reasonable accommodations but we had rusty water in the shower and the bathroom fixtures were unattached and leaking.
Requests for service went to deaf ears. Even when we requested the room to be cleaned we were denied as we didn't give them 2 days advance notice.
Even breakfast, the simplest meal of the day, was a disappointment. While the food was good when it was available on 2 different days during our week here the kitchen staff didn't show up for work so we got a "sorry, no breakfast, no coffee you are own your own today".
Location, good. But a total bust on the service and the cleanliness of the site. So much potential and such a disappointment.
Priced in the 3 star range but a 1 star of less facility,
