The administration staff were all very helpful in getting me into an appointment very quickly which was great. However, every experience that I had inside the office afterward was awful. I received a nerve test from Dr. Stein and while conducting the test, Dr. Stein had a brief period of apnea where his eyes closed, his head drooped (appearing unconscious) as well as his hand that was holding the control for the test drooped. This lasted for a few seconds but was very evident to both me and my fiancee in the room and caused great alarm. After this incident i sent an inquiry wishing to discuss this to Summit Health but no reply.
When i returned one week later to review my test results, Dr. Stein came into the exam room and asked why I was there, and when I replied with "for my test results" he then silently reviewed my tests results in front of me for 10 minutes-clearly unprepared.
When I received a call from Summit Health for a satisfaction survey, I reported all of these experiences, and was met with a representative that was attempting to point blame at me for "not reporting it sooner" (even though I had tried to). She then asked if I wanted to speak with a manager for a new doctor. I said Okay, as long as that would help others not have the experience with Dr. Stein that I had had, but never received a call back. Sadly it was very evident that it was only to continue to collect my business and not to better any other patient's experience. I have 0 faith in the medical staff that are hired here as if the entire experiences I've had with Dr. Stein weren't enough, another staff member took my blood pressure (126/78) and told me it was "kind of high". I won't be returning here, or any other Summit Health facility and I suggest anyone looking for a new neurologist does the same.

Dr. Stein is very thorough, patient, kind and genuinely cares to see his patients well. I never once felt our meeting rushed- but I should mention I do always ask for an early appointment so I don’t know how things run in the afternoon. I do like the set up in the office, there’s a check in and check out receptionist. I’ve read other reviews and want to point out that it’s on us as patients to keep up with results/follow-ups/etc.and yes, the office can be busy at times when try to call in for answers from the doctor and it can be frustrating to wait weeks for an appointment, but you’ll always be able to get someone on the line and Dr. Stein or receptionist will always get back to you with an answer even if it’s not right away, and visits are always worth the wait. Dr. Stein answers all of my questions and concerns. And frankly, I don’t believe I would have been taken seriously by any other doctor had he not ordered all those tests and INVESTIGATED the cause to my nonspecific problems. Currently, seeing a rheumatologist and undergoing PT and I have Dr Stein to thank for the confidence in knowing I’ll see better days.

Dr Ian Stein is an amazing doctor. He was very thorough in getting test set up quickly for me to get a diagnosis. So happy to have found him.

Dr Stein is an incredible doctor.

I had a medical problem which no other doctor was able to help with. Knew exactly what i was dealing with.

I would recommend him over and over again!

Worst medical experience ever. Dr. Stein did not do an actual initial consultation, he just ordered every neurological test on the books costing me thousands of dollars. And, when it came time to review them he looked at them for five seconds said you are fine, thats it. Not once asking how I am currently feeling, if my symptoms have gotten better, nothing. His nurse does not let you answer questions, which is probably why I had to be the one to bring up key points of my medical history that I was never asked about. He is consistently over half an hour to an hour late to his appointments, never actually speaks with you in the consultation room, just talks over you the whole time. The receptionists are incredibly rude, one laughed in my face while we were booking an appointment while another simply refused to either print or email me my medical history.
Now I have to find a new Neurologist because I do not trust anything Dr. Stein has said.

Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Stein was quite disappointing. During my visit, I observed him falling asleep at the computer, which was highly concerning. Additionally, when I requested a call to discuss my report, he failed to follow through. This lack of attentiveness and communication left me feeling dissatisfied with my overall experience.

The manager there is so unprofessional and rude. I asked to speak to her because of a situation of what happened with the nurse there, & Ian stein. And she will not let me talk! She was talking on top of me, saying she will investigate what happened. How can you investigate what happened if you are not letting me tell you completely of what happened. They prolonged my IVIG treatments when my insurance covers it. My neuropathy is progressing fast, now I have to wait longer and look for another neurologist. On top of that dr Ian stein falls asleep at times while taking care of you. Btw the nurse LIED to me twice saying that she had send the paper work to my insurance. I called my insurance twice and they told me they haven’t send anything. My insurance even called their office to see what was going on. And they told my insurance to give them 24 to 48 hrs for them to get it. NEVER DID. And manager never called me back!
