Idol Ridge Winery & Alder Creek Distillery reviews
14Great experience here a few weeks ago. Kyle was excellent at serving our tasting. We had a good time talking to him about wine and other things to do in the area. Will definitely visit again.
I have made several trips to Idol Ridge Winery, and always met with fantastic staff. Joe is a nice young man who serves with a smile and will help make your visit exceptional.
Don’t forget to buy some fudge. It pairs nicely with some of their wine.
Server was very rude non welcoming; do not recommend this stop.first time I have ever encountered this behavior from anyone in the Finger Lake region, wineries or breweries
Jennifer was our guide for our tasting, and she was fantastic! Service with a beautiful smile and just lots of energy! A bachelorette group is a lot to handle and she was on it! Beautiful layed back spot!
Jen was absolutely fantastic! She handled our large, outrageous crowd super well. Gave us all exactly what we wanted and served with a smile! 10/10 would definitely recommend
We 1st went to Montezuma wanna race looking for a certain sparkling wine and they happen to be all out of it so the young lady set me to idle ridge wineries and I met the young lady called Tyler. She was very personable very helpful and knowledgeable I'm very awesome to talk to Also met a woman who made the most line which was very good and she was great I believe she is the owner of idle ridge winery she was very awesome very personable great place beautiful place will come see it again thank you very much sincerely Diana Allen Out and we also got a great sauce for our chicken
Sean, your wine recommendation and kindness made for a FANTASTIC end to our day at Seneca Lake. Not stopping in to taste the Big Timber red blend would be almost as big a mistake as not taking one of the bottles home with you. Thanks for the terrific customer service!
Such a great experience at Idol Ridge / Alder Creek. There was a storm rolling in across the Lake which was beautiful to watch and they allowed further tasting of their options for free for those unwilling to leave because of the storm.
Great customer service, great wines and a really great location.
P. S- The Cranberry Liqueur is amazing with and without a sparkling white wine to go with it.
Will definitely come back again!
I was so impressed by the knowledge of wines and history that Phyllis and Aaron shared with us. The wine was spectacular and the knowledge about women history was amazing. I think this may be my favorite winery that I have ever visited. We got 12 wine tastings to share for $6! I always love great value, awesome people and kindness. Love Love! I can’t wait to come back.
I visit Seneca lake with a friend at least once a year. Idol ridge is our go to winery. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly the wines are great and the fudge.heaven! It's usually our first stop to stock up for the week and our last to replenish the stock!
Did partake in the wines as it was close to closing time.tasted shot of vodka and gin so bummed bourbon sold out
Very new, modern building with beautiful woodwork inside! Numerous wines & tasting options, slushies & wine ice cream too! Tons of souvenirs & Finger lakes merchandise! All the employees are friendly & helpful! One last thing, they have most awesome panoramic view this side of Seneca Lake!
One of my fave spots on my recent trip. Beautiful views and really pleasant staff. Even though we were the last customers in the store before closing we were met with a smile and found that the unoaked Chardonnay was by far the best wine I tasted all week. Make time for these folks!
First of all, ignore the lower reviews here that accuse the winery of being rude when in fact, the visitors were rude for arriving late or missing important reservation times. Wineries are no different than other beverage/food establishments and must adhere to protocols that help them give a better customer experience for all visitors, not just the big groups.
Visited here recently for the first time and was very impressed. Quality tasting experience with Tiffany, who was very knowledgeable. Lovely building with lake views and a gift shop. I only tasted their wines, which were overall fantastic, but they also have liquor tastings as well - maybe next time!
