IKEA, Brooklyn NY

Made a click & order for 5: 00pm, they brought out my order at 5: 10pm. They forgot to bring a few items (1/3 of 1 bed and a whole other bed). At 6: 00pm, they came back with a whole bed! I’m still sitting here waiting for 2/3 of 1 bed. Ikea Brooklyn… you need some serious performance reviews.

Update: got the rest of the bed at 6: 45pm, almost 2 hours after my scheduled pick up time.

This is the most accessible IKEA store located within New York City. The options are quite diverse. Stocks are replenished quickly. The staff are attentive and helpful. Especially compared to the branch on Long Island, I can recommend this place.

Just don't know why most the Asian customer give low review. Yeah, there is a reason.

They sold me something that was out of stock, and went all the way to the store to pick it up.

Great environment and setup. The lighting etc.adds a good vibe for the shopping experience. Cleaning staff was present all the time to keep premises taken care of.but there wasn't a staff member to assist with our assembly at the desk they were supposed to, so we had to order online and lost the 5% in-store discount, plus we had to pay for shipping.

Always neat stuff to find in the store. Maybe half a star less, because not enough registers open downstairs.

The furniture here is totally fine, and the employees I've dealt with have been totally fine, but the management of this Ikea is terrible. They never has enough registers open despite there always being employees standing around. Checking out takes forever unless there's no one in the store.

A 45 minute estimated wait to make a return ends up taking closer to two hours. And in-store pickup takes multiple times longer than they tell you it will. It's a good thing they sell food here, or you'd likely starve.

IKEA is great. Their ferry was amazing and departed on time. The shop itself is very good too. But the cashier was the most unhappy person. Like they hated us just for the fact we came there.

I was just mesmerized when I received $10 coupon from IKEA on my birthday. So drove up to IKEA in Brooklyn to use that coupon. Guess what? It worked. It was heartwarming. Thank you IKEA

Unbelievable experience here with a return. I bought a tea kettle only because they have a whistle, but the whistle was broken inside from the first time I used it. Two weeks later I tried to return it and they told me they couldn't take it as a return because it was used and broken so they couldn't resell it since it was used. Nevermind they shouldn't be reselling broken items anyway! The manager refused to take it back. I bought a newer more expensive kettle and returned that before I even brought it home, because guess what if you use it and it doesn't work, you can't return it! I can't believe this is really the policy of Ikea, that defective goods cannot be returned. But it sure left a bad taste in my mouth and as someone who has spent thousands at this store in recent months it is a shame that I never want to go back and am really just disgusted with ikea after such bad customer service over a $20 tea kettle. I left the kettle there anyway, it's their problem now.

I ordered on-line and picked itup in the store the next morning. It was a seamless transaction.

This IKEA location has a lot of good and bad things. There's not enough parking space during a busy weekend. You will likely spend 10 minutes driving around the lot until you find a spot. The other thing is the escalator, out of service, since who knows when. The mens bathroom are filthy so beware. The good things, beautiful furniture, and the hallways are clean. The cafeteria is somewhat clean but it could be better. The food is good for the price you’re paying. Also, pet friendly.

I can't believe I have to wait 1 hour to return something. The staff is totally useless in this area. The customer service is one of the worst I have ever seen in my entire life.

I was treated with condescension and attitude at a the checkout. This is IKEA, not DMV. I expected a pleasant shopping experience, not causal rudeness. Sadly this is not an isolated case of poor customer service experience at this IKEA location. I will avoid it in the future.

We have been visiting IKEA every year since 2010.
It has deteriorated a lot.
The escalators did not work and as we were informed have not worked the last 6 months.
The restrooms were not clean and quite messy.
The marked pricing should be followed up - missing or not correct.

We were very disappointed.

We did however enjoy the ferry trip from west Manhattan.
We will probably not come back.
