My cousin found this gem when she came to visit. I have to say I am ashamed that my out of town cousin put a New York native on to this brunch party. This brunch was elite. They give you your own personal bottle of prosecco with your $65 brunch and you can select 1 entrée. The location being in Chelsea makes the price even better. The staff was very efficient, we didn't wait long before seated. After ordering, the food came quick as well and let me tell you that Mac and those Fries.that's all I am going to say

Place is nice however, we arrived at 4: 30 the first DJ was still there playing amazing music had the whole place vibing. Second DJ wasn’t as good but we still tried to have a good time. Then they sat us on the top corner where we couldn’t even see our food due to how dark it was.

This was the most disastrous experience ever. Do not waste your time if you have things to do. First off there’s a mandatory $10 coat check that they don’t mention anywhere or tell you when booking. But the kicker is the ridiculous wait even with a reservation. I had a 2: 30 reservation for 4. They kept telling us we’re cleaning your table. We were brought to a table at 3: 24. Almost an hr we waited for a table only for them to try to sit us at a table for 2 ppl. It was ridiculous. Horrible! Horrible! Even after we tried to sit it didn’t work. No one came over to us. So we left. So disappointed.

I came to il bastardo last weekend for my cousins bday brunch. I suggested it to her since my visit, I had a great experience. I found the place initially from the bartenders instagram and the vibes looked fun. I don't remember my servers name but the bartender was attentive and speedy. The brunch was fun service was pretty good especially for such a large party of 20+ my food could've been better but everyone else really enjoyed their experience. Overall I'd give it a 6/10 plus and extra point cause my bar drinks were 10/10!

I can’t hype this place up enough. I booked this spot for my cousins surprise 42nd birthday with 20 other family and friends and we turned up and showed out. The service was amazing and impeccable, the server and the bartender was on point! The drinks were flowing and the dj did his thing, I was a lil underwhelmed with the lobster but everything else was amazing. From the time we walked in to the time we left it was great atmosphere. As a tv producer I’m always looking for the new spots to film and this is now on top of my list.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I was scammed out of $300. This place had ignorant and rude staff. The most horrible broke people I have ever met. The bouncer was the only kind person. You can tell this place is money laundering. We had to hang our own coats after paying $25 for coat check. They were so rude after taking my credit card. I regret coming here. They ruined my birthday celebration. They took my hard earned money and wasted it on $5 champagne. The food gave me guests food poisoning. Don’t make the same mistake I made. Avoid at all costs!

This place was not a “whole club”. No one was dancing the day we went, which was why we went in the first place. The staff is rude and the place smells like they cleaned it with all dirty water. Food was okay.

I enjoyed the place. Went on Sunday for a birthday brunch. The food was decent. Love the fact that they give you an entire bottle for each person. It’s a bit tight. There’s seating on the dance floor. That’s they only part I didn’t care for. Other than that loud music. Good DJ. Had a really good time. Would come back.

Our server Jay was excellent. We were a party of 11 for a birthday. Jay was great about taking our orders and everything that came out was correct. The food was good but for what came out to be $80 per person it wasn't that good. The bottles of Wycliff Brut and Brut Rosé are worth less than $10. So we paid $70 for food and tip.

The space is large enough to dance next to your table but not if the table across from you is also ready to party. Once it got packed it got very hot. The fans were off and the air circulation was very limited. We asked them to adjust the air and were told no. The reason was that not enough people were complaining. I guess enough people complained eventually because the fans were finally turned on. No one should have to complain about warm indoor temperatures and lack of circulations and windows, while dancing and drinking alcohol. This should be automatc to have proper ventilation. The fact that fans are ‘locked’ and turned on by them at their discretion is absurd.

When we arrived for our 2pm reservation it was getting packed. We were waiting for 2 people to find parking and could not be seated until they arrived. Once they arrived we had to still wait an additional 10 minutes for our table. The food entrees included in the base price of $45 are only the first 6 items listed on prix fixe menu. Everything else has an upcharge. Then there is an administrative fee (not sure what that is for) and tip is included making the minimum $60 per person. None of what’s listed on the Brunch Prix Fixe Menu is worth $60. They create the illusion of you receiving a whole bottle of sangria or champagne but those bottles are $7 each. So don't get the pancakes unless you want to pay $53 for pancakes and a $7 bottle of champagne.

The bathroom attendant has an attitude problem. She was very rude and snappy. It was very unprofessional the way she was behaving.

Coat check is also MANDATORY for an additional $5, and they aren’t very pleasant in delivering this message. They told my friend he had to check his blazer. A blazer is not a coat or a jacket, it was part of his outfit.

I won't be coming back here unless forced to do so by another friend. I was unsure of coming here because of the 3.5 stars. I feel now that I was justified in my concern.

Average atmosphere with over priced average food. At least the DJ was on point.

No place should be taking your ID or credit card. The employees are disgustingly rude. They charge you hundreds of dollars for the cheapest alcohol. Waste of money and time. Also saw that this place gave a lot of people food poisoning. Stay away

Disgusting place. The DJ is horrible the food is disgusting. The staff is so rude and clearly does not know how to work properly. This place is a waste of money and a scam. I am disgusted. They should be shut down immediately.

If you’re looking for garbage employee customer service and a block party style venue, this is the place. To start we had reservations for 12 and the employees were still walking in at 12: 20 and the host said we couldn’t come inside because they aren’t ready but she yelled it and said go outside. She needs a reality check and understand customer service. She wouldn’t make eye contact when talking and said coat checks are mandatory for $5 even if we are cold we can’t wear them. That’s unethical and quite frankly a scam and waste of money. The employees all look like they just lost their puppy by getting run over with their non expressive personalities. If they weren’t busy being rude they looked sad and careless. The place smelled like dirty mop water as well. The menu was lacking and ended up resulting in us leaving by the cheap block party style venue with employees who all need to be fired.

Came here for my friends 24th birthday and I don’t know where to begin! Our waiter was Shaan and he was so attentive and caring, He made sure everything was taken care of. I rate the food 10/10. Mac and cheese was amazing! We got enough to share for the table and everyone loved it. You get a bottle of champagne with prix fixed menu for $65 (a steal to me). Beau the manager was so accommodating. We couldn’t get enough of the drinks at the bar by the bartender Max, be sure to ask for him when you need an amazing drink! Overall rate my experience a 10/10, would come again! If you’re looking to celebrate a birthday, Il Bastardo is the place!

Horrible experience, horrible customer service, the servers were very inattentive. I wouldn’t recommend. They overcharge you for everything as well. Overall 0/10.

Music was way to loud to order. Server wasn't helpful or friendly, and I felt rushed, but food was ok, my steak was kind of dry but I like the atmosphere and music. Positive and fun vibes. The menu is confusing as well. Also they make you do coat check at the entrance.

Didn’t enter. Security at the door was so disrespectful. Called me and my friends ratchet, told us to hang up the phone because we were on the phone with someone from inside trying to get situation under control. Supervisor came outside and calm security down as he told us he’s in charge it’s up to him if we enter or not. Supervisor tell him to go inside he tells her “no, i don’t want to take it there with them it’ll get bad” a threat to 4 girls. We were told prior to coming we didn’t need a reservation. We had an adult with us still the same disrespect towards our mom. Security with a ginger beard very disrespectful

Tell the coat check girl with the cheap wig to learn how to do her job. This place is a waste of your time and money. Don’t even think about coming here unless you want to be scammed. I am horrified at the prices and the attitude of the underpaid servers. The bouncer was the only person who was kind to us.

I don’t know what happened that day in the kitchen but my friend got food poisoning from the filet mignon she ordered. After we left this place we went to the mall where she had projectile vomiting and we had to bring her home quickly. She continued to vomit until 2AM and she had no other food except this brunch restaurant and the champagne and shots we ordered. I was fine I ordered the lobster eggs Benedict but just as a FYI not sure if the steak was left out too long in room temperature before cooking it, especially for the price people pay. Just whatever you do don’t order the steaks

I was invited to a birthday brunch not knowing about the spot’s vibes or anything. Overall it was pretty fun to be in a literal nightclub in the afternoon. I got the special and drank a whole bottle of champagne, which was delicious. Anyways the spot is pretty fun for a birthday or small gathering and the food was good.
