I used Impress Moving for my move. I went with them because their price was cheaper but, when the movers showed up to my house the price went up by 300 because my furniture was more fragile than they originally thought. I had described my furniture in detail however, I was still quoted an incorrect price.

I have been off of work for a month and asked that my furniture be placed in storage. The furniture was placed in storage. I called in inquire about my furniture and was told that I needed to send an email confirming I wanted my furniture to come out of storage. Well, come thanksgiving day, my furniture was being delivered to me. Mind you I really did not have the cash for the delivery. I called Impress and one of the workers laughed when I said it was thanksgiving and stated “she’s says it’s thanksgiving” I did asked to speak with a manager. This man told me he was the “manager, dispatcher, and the driver”. SMH. The man on the phone only backed off of delivering my furniture on thanksgiving when I told him I was going to write a review on Yelp and report them to the better business bureaus. He was insisting on delivering my furniture even though I told him I have no money. They had their movers stay the night in a bread by hotel. The men who moved my furniture in were pleasant and I did tip them because this mix up was not their fault.

My furniture was chipped. I’m under warranty with the manufacturer so it’s not a big deal. If I could deal with the movers only and not the people behind the scenes this company would be perfect. I will never use them for my moves in the future

I had a very mixed experience with this company. In the beginning, I received attentive cust.care which included phone calls to update, etc. Originally, HRA was not involved, but my situation changed VERY quickly. HRA was supposed to pay, but errors happened. By the time it went though, more had been packed and there were more boxes than before. This is my fault, and I admit it: it did not occur to me in my frenzied state (during an emergency move) to update the lists. No one checked in to see if things had changed, or if the count was different. Instead, I was sent an inventory and asked to sign a very long document with instructions on labeling, etc. I got approved, they came, and were super speedy. Heat and humidity or not, though, masks need to be worn correctly at all times. I and the two people helping me, had to remind then guys around a dozen times in all to either put them back on, or stick their nose back in. Then we ran into a problem: things that I am POSITIVE were included on the list (I have time and date stamped cell photos) were mysteriously not on the list. Again, I admit partial fault. It's not an excuse, but I read through the final list and agreement too quickly because we were under a severe time crunch with HRA and the people who came from another state to help me. I had to call the company, and suddenly I wasn't being spoken to so nicely any more. Look, I am many things, but I have an excellent memory. The things that were left out were so glaringly obvious that I was livid. I was told to wait while they could see if a small discount was applied. It was (and I'm sure they thought they were placating me. The person even "checked" her phone to see if they were there, and I received an "x" in a text. I have no idea what that was about. I was not fooled, and I knew then that they were scamming me. I threw some things out, and the rest got taken down, and I had to pay an additional $560 - $20 of it because I was paying with a credit card. DISGUSTING! I got to my location, and the carrier/driver called me telling me when they would be here approximately, and then he added that I had a $47 balance. NO. He was quite rude, and I told the company. No balance, as I expected. They got here, and he even made comments about me complaining about him. So unprofessional! They did an excellent job with the counting and loading my things into the storage facility, but I will never, ever work with these people again. On top of that, he handed me a form to fill out about their delivery service RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM. Talk about awkward. Now that I see other's reviews, I see I am not alone in my complaint. I took very clear photos. I was even asked what this or that was, so there is no reason why there should have been any confusion later, and definitely no items "missing" (a love seat and 8 large Sterilite bins stacked together seems pretty hard to "miss" to me). I am legally disabled and poor. That is why I went through HRA. Taking money from someone like me is criminal. The company seems bereft of moral fiber. I also put my mattress into a plastic bag with a seal. When it got here, there was a large hole covered with tape. Some boxes were crushed, and others were so taped to death that the handles were useless. I get it, it's loss prevention, but if you're taping something, go AROUND the handles. A tub lid is cracked, making it useless. I also discovered broken, un-repairable piece of furniture that was hidden in the back, probably on purpose. It was not possible to notice it earlier. When you accept delivery of your stuff, they give you lists with the stickers that has been applied prior to the move. You have to be ready and check each number off as they call them, so you cannot really look up. This furniture is now garbage. They also put their tape on a LEATHER newborn posing beanbag, leaving marks. I'm disgusted! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

I wonder if this company is scam. They called me the day before the original scheduled move to tell me that they cannot pick up or move until the next week. And then yesterday they told me that they would pick up today from 4pm to 7pm and would call me an hour in advance. It is almost past the time. Now neither have they called me nor did they pick up my calls. I’ve already paid 60% of my move which is $800 and I don’t even know if I would ever get the service.

If I could give them negative stars, I would. I have nothing good to say about them. They try to charge you hidden fees and charge you for extra "expenses" when you've already paid for everything. They don't deliver when they're supposed to. They broke furniture when they picked it up. They left their garbage from packing tape, etc in our yard. Still waiting for furniture to be delivered that was supposed to arrive a week ago. Save yourself the money and headache and go elsewhere.

Eric was very accommodating and after sending pics of what I need moved he gave me a very good quote. I1 k less than anyone else. However, by the time everything I wanted moved was done the price came out about 1200 more. My first paid move and realize didn't review the list close enough. Louis the man in charge jotted down every item. Also did not quite fully understand price based on area- wanted a shelf moved and it didn't weigh 10 lbs.and asked the price was $90. Louis did work w me and included a rocking chair in the $90. Finally, when tipping I gave $ 100 tip as was told by Eric it wasn't mandatory and thought it was generous for my budget. Thought l
Louis was going to start crying-increase the tip eventually $70 and he seemed to b semi- satisfied. Makes me wonder if these men r getting paid a fair wage. My final bill was close to 4K not 2300. The guys were good workers and African American driver was cordial. Louis was accountable of utenms and labor however could help but to feel i was being had. Took pics of items but I think what happened was if 2 items in pic only one counted. I'll not make this mistake again. Main suggestion is be very thorough w pics and and inventory being presented in the estimate. Lastly, asked for ac to b moved but it was left behind w moving blanket nearby.

They were on-time, professional and handled my things with care. Moving can be an emotional and stressful experience.these guys helped to make it go as smoothly as possible! Impress Moving really impressed me! Easily the most ingenious idea when it comes to moving. I somehow came across the idea and contacted to Impress Moving for my last move. Impress Moving staff was amazing to work with, even bringing the boxes early. The boxes were clean and easy to work with. Impress Moving will be my go-to every time I move.

Quoted 580 ended up paying 1400 lol. Extra charge for all mattresses, lamps, etc (and I told them I had these furnitures but no they did not tell me there are going to be extra charges), extra charge for long distance (as in they had to park the truck right around the corner of my building not in front) and extra charge for this and that. It was already moving day. What else can I do but give them the money? I wasnt able to find another moving company on time. So yeah, I had no choice.
The movers were polite, strong, and fast. But some of my furniture came bented and nail loose. Worst was that they were not bent or loose enough for me to complain to them.

These guys are awesome! I needed to schedule movers last minute and they were able to accommodate a same-day move. They have great pricing and were very affordable compared to a few other companies I had also called. The whole process went smoothly from start to finish. Will definitely be using Impress Moving & Storage again for any future moves!:)

Overall a decent experience. On time, no hidden charges/surprises, hard-working & professionals. The team that helped me was outstanding. They were so careful with all of my furniture, wrapped everything up and there is no scratches/damage to any items. I could not recommend Impress Moving & Storage highly enough and will be using them for any future moves.

Since my move, I've been telling anyone who will listen how great my move went. The crew was beyond efficient, helpful and just really nice people. They were fast and went above and beyond to make sure my belongings were wrapped and handled properly. Happy with Impress Moving & Storage. These guys are seriously the best. This moving company was amazing! Our movers went above and beyond to make everything as easy as possible. Came prepared with everything, took apart the furniture and put it back together when we got to our destination. They were extremely professional and worked extra hard. We would highly recommend Impress Moving & Storage and plan to use them for every move in the future.

IMPRESS DOES ANYTHING BUT!
I thought I did it all correctly. I investigated the company online and did not see any complaints. I was moving from NY and needed a company to pack my whole house up in a timely manner. We had the company come out and do an estimate from a walk through so we would not have any hidden fees or surprises for underestimating the amount of stuff to move. We got a quote with a written estimate and we were set to move.not so fast.

On the day of our move, the movers showed up with four movers when we were supposed to have 6. We were moving from a four floor house with over thirty years worth of accumulated clothes, furniture, etc. At first, things were going well and the movers were doing great job packing. After several hours of packing it became apparent that the four men they sent would not be able to pack this house in one day and the truck sent would not fit all our belongings. The foreman on the job called impress to send over a bigger truck or second truck and he was flatly told "no" Once the truck they had was filled, the four movers left. Only problems was we still have entire floors worth of boxes and other personal belongings that needed to be moved and an entire floor worth of belongings that needed to be packed.before the morning when the closing on our house was to happen.

And that's when the real nightmare started. After packing the uhaul we had to rent, (after spending the night packing boxes) it became apparent that everything would not fit so off again I went to uhaul to get a van for the rest of our belongings. Please don't forget: WE HAD A WRITTEN ESTIMATE AND IMPRESS DID A WALK THROUGH AND DOCUMENTED EACH AND EVERY POSSESSION TO BE BE MOVED.

One the van was packed, it was still apparent that all our belongings would not fit. Our only options were: leave our stuff on the front lawn and hope it didn't rain or get taken or beg the neighbor to let us put our stuff in his garage for a few days. Luckily option B worked. (Just to be clear, I had to rent a third uhaul vehicle to retrieve that stuff a few days later but I'll spare you that story)

The next day impress shows up at my new house with the same crew who loaded the first truck. Fortunately, the move in went a bit smoother. I did have to hire a team to unpack the rented truck and van but uhaul conveniently had a sticker in the truck for helpers so I will give them five stars on their review since they were nothing but helpful.

As you might imagine, this is not what I had in mind when moving. After contacting impress and threatening with suing them for totally screwing this up, a representative from the company told us they would do "whatever it takes to make this right. " Whatever it takes turned out to be a payment of approximately half of what it cost me to rent three trucks, several helpers, tolls, gas, moving supplies, and several broken items. What could not be paid for was my aggravation and hours of labor packing up a house in the hot sun, all the while worrying that we would not meet our deadline to be out of the house.

Moving is always difficult but does it really need to be this difficult? I think not.
