I live in upper Manhattan and walk through and around Inwood Hill Park every week. Inwood Hill Park covers the tip of Manhattan and it is the closest thing to a natural forest in Manhattan. The Park is hilly and a nice place to get in a 2 - 4 mile walk or run. Great for bird watching, tree identification and views of the Hudson River and Harlem River! Lots to see and do!

I walk here everyday, it's clean and safe, there are families around, no mosquitoes and a nice place to walk or jog.

Best that not everyone knows how amazing this park is (or Fort Tryon Park down the street from it - two giant, gorgeous preserves of nature and collections of sweet humanity in a single, smallish neighborhood). Then they'd all want to move here.

A beautiful park in upper NYC. When walking the hiking trails, it is hard to believe you are still in the city. You must see the Indian Caves and the brilliant rock formations. Excellent in the Autumn to view the foilage.

An awesome park with miles of trails. A great place to relax or have a picnic. Fun fact: this is where Peter Minuet "purchased" Manhattan Island was from the local Native Americans.

Great park to visit at the beginning of November to see fall colors. On the plus side it is the last natural forest with salt marsh preserved in Manhattan and easy to get to from the metro stop. On the minus side it is in Manhattan so you may hear city noise and sometimes sport games going on which break illusions n if being in forrest. Trails are very easy to walk and very well maintained.

Park is very clean and well lit. You will find several parties to close together and the loud music makes it uncomfortable. In my last visit did not see any rangers o police officers patrolling. Do not recommend walking in the park after dark as you might encounter not desirable people getting ready to sleep.

Such a beautiful park. Walking through the park is so peaceful and so many beautiful people around sharing the park makes it more beautiful for me. I love to see people out and about enjoy themselves and the view. Such a great historical park. People need to research the park. They even have great trails to walk.
