Izzy's Wine & Spirits, Bronx NY

I am giving a review as a customer of their online store. I purchased a case of a wine from their online store that uses GABA app as its online store platform. I drove 40 minutes one way paying tolls to pick up the wines since their shipping charge was unreasonably expensive. (over $70 for ground shipping a case of wine from Bronx, NY to NJ right across the G. W.bridge) To make sure that the wines are available I called the store and asked if the wines I ordered were ready for pick up and they confirmed it. When I went to the store after 40 minute drive, the wines they gave were not the ones I ordered. On my frustration and disappointment, what one of the store clerk told me was improper. He said it was not their fault but the GABA app's. They never properly appologize for the error initially. After I got out of the store with full of frustration and started writing a review in my car, the store clerk approached me and tried to appologize. I am giving 3 stars because even if it was too late, they tried to appologize later. Even if the platform caused an error, the store is responsible for their listings. Also, they should have checked if the listings are correct or at lease checked if the ordered items match the ones they prepared when I called for confirmation.

My first time coming here felt like I had been going there for years. Very friendly establishment. Large selection of wines. Prices are good. Customer service is outstanding. I overheard a gentlemanbthst works there giving the perfect wine recommendation, based on just a couple of questions a couple of ladies had asked. These people know their stuff! And, they deliver through Drizly!

The owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful! They take their time sharing product knowledge and really care about their customers. A+

I always choose to come to this liquor store when i visit home because they give good advice And they have your best interest and it’s not all about taking your money they have very good customer service
