J. Hood Wright Park reviews
11Beautiful but on the smaller side. Def a dog friendly park with a small dog park that is enclosed! Lots of nice grass and some nice views.
Pretty park, play area for kids, bathrooms, basketball courts and lovely grounds to walk around or to sit and enjoy the day outside. Amazing view of the GW Bridge.
Beautiful park but too noisy! People are setting up large speakers making it unpleasant for any type of relaxation. I feel bad for the people who live around the park. Department of Parks needs to enforce the rules. It is out of control.
It's a great neighborhood park. With the dog run, the playground, and the open green space, with walls to mark a clear boundary for the kids, it's a perfect family hangout spot.
Its a nice place except for the park department which close the bathroom regarded that the park has plenty of people girl and boys trying to use it by 6.00 PM.
Went for a birthday party and it was very clean, very sociable with people of all ages from all walks of life enjoying the park. They're we're dogs everywhere which my kids loved and the dog park within the park was a bonus for us since we had our dog with us (she had to get used to it being her first time). The only bad things I have to say would be the bathroom was on the small side with two small stalls, one big stall and three little sinks, and parking being a pain to find.
Great neighborhood park. Big playground area, sand area, and large water feature in the summer. Has decent restrooms and green space as well.
I was raised and born in this area. It's maintained pretty well, but it is pretty small. If you want to go on a run here (like I do) or take your dog for a run, or even your children to hang out, this is the place for it.
But please, add bigger swings. I have waited since my childhood for them (I'm an adult, but still). I think children of all ages would love them.
Decent park for exercise (they have a calesthenics area), jogging, handball or basketball. The basketball courts are pretty worn down though.
There is also a playground for kids and a dog run.
A pretty big park in the Inwood area, right off Broadway and Dyckman. Monkey bars, to play and exercise. There is also a big play ground for children.
