J.A. Heneghan's Tavern & Restaurant, Point Lookout NY

Always a good comfort food place. A great starter is the crispy artichoke hearts with the lemon aioli. I love the French Dip Sandwich with a side of tater tots. Service is friendly and food is served quickly.

Attended a closed event this week, so I can not comment on individual service. Although the event that was a fund raiser for Long Beach Catholic School, and the JAHeneghan's was filled to capacity, everything was fantastic. Food was served ala buffet style. Sampled each dish, Superb preparation on each. Staff as very attentive to keeping all selections available. Beautiful decor inside. Truly a hidden gem of a tavern on Long Island.

Visiting again and there was some mixup that caused an incredibly long wait for our food at a time when they were.less-than-full.

Food was good and they took care of us, credited our bill, but it seemed as if the waitress was avoiding us after we complained about the long delay in our meals arriving.

In any case, given our previous good experiences, we will likely go back sometime.

Stopped in for a beer. Really nice, a warm and cozy feel, incredibly friendly patrons and staff. So far I've only tasted the Guinness and Corona, and both of those were five stars.

Nice place. It's an upscale Irish pub. On a busy night it can get a bit noisy. There's indoor and outdoor seating and sometimes live entertainment.

My friend snd I split a steak dish with a side salad. Too much for one person, a little light for two. But excellent quality.

Great cold tap beer! Chef needs to ease up on the salt and medium burger was more rare. Worth another try now that I am aware. Very friendly staff and great outdoor tables.

Food is great, waitress is super nice! It’s a great place to eat after visiting Jone’s beach. I ordered signature burger and clam chowder, waffle and fried chicken, all super delicious.

My friend and I came here before a concert at Jones beach and were seated promptly and had a very nice waitress. We had some phenomenal appetizers. We tried the filet sliders (out of this world), the crispy artichokes w/lemon aioli (I could seriously drink that stuff it was so delicious) and the burrata w/fried zucchini. I cannot stress enough how yummy the food was. The manager, Shana, should be teaching restaurant management somewhere because she is truly grade A. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

They still have iced tap towers which look real nifty but aren't that great unless you like ice-cold beer. Decent local tap list, indoor, outdoor and enclosed-outdoor seating. Glad to have gone back!

Coldest beer I've had and a nice selection. Food was great, we sat in the enclosed outdoor area. One negative, there was a dog under the table next to us, which seemed nice, but bit the waitress as she was taking our order. No idea why, and before people say it, I love dogs and have one.
Overall, great spot

I recently bought a house in Lido about 5 minutes away. I did not know about JAs. My friends band (too fat guys) played there tonight. My wife and I went early and had dinner. Food was fantastic. Our server Amy was excellent. We met Ali the hostess and Samantha the Manager. All wonderful people. Great place. This is our new “ go to place “ Highly recommended. We will definitely be back!

Great local pub with excellent food and draft beer choices. You have the option of the front pub atmosphere, outdoor dinign area or the rear dining room. Both are good depnding on your mood.

We love our neighborhood fave! Heneghan's is a great choice for excellent craft beer on tap, comfort food, an interesting wine list and a cozy family run vibe.

I regularly stop by purchasing some food in this spot. I loved the rapid customer service and well prepared dishes. Never disappointing.

Very clean and convenient spot. They provide large meals and for economical rates. I liked the menu a lot and the waiters were very welcoming and informative. Recommended.
