Do not have ur baby at this hospital they do not care about u at all they are annnoying wanting to test baby and u late at night take forever to discharge u force u to do things and say u won’t get discharged if u don’t do it the nurses are better then the doctors I was left in pain for hours at 10 cm and didn’t get checked till I started going off

This is a great hospital…. I had my kids here. Excellent service…. I was well-supported and taken care of during delivery. I had epidurals to help ease the pain…and I had no complications whatsoever.
All is well in their maternity department… their nurses and doctors are very efficient… right from the pre- natal stage to the day of delivery, they have adequate services…
But I cannot say the same for their ER department … there is a very long wait period before the patients are seen… and the nurses here are not as friendly… they seem worked-up and are prone to gossip about their patients…

Very unprofessional! Came here for the second time and never coming back. I'm about 6 weeks pregnant and they scaring me by telling me that it could be an ectopic, it can be deadly at any time. And then they left me waiting for hours for the diagnosis and then again hours after diagnosis just to tell me that there's nothing definitive yet to say and I might have to come back! And then again kept me waiting just to say that I'm good to go and then left without ordering the discharge papers! I mean who does that! No way I'm coming back! Extremely awfully terrible! Not coming back! HELL NO!

I gave birth at this hospital recently and I must say the reviews Will completely throw you off. I was very skeptical about giving birth at this hospital because I let myself be convinced by the awful reviews. But I must say my experience was actually very good. I was scheduled for a C-section which went very well with no complications, immediately after getting moved from the Operating room to the recovery room my baby was making some weird sounds while breathing and the nurses immediately took my baby to the Nicu to get monitored. They kept my baby in the Nicu for about 6 hours and returned her to my room once she was cleared to be with me & her breathing was no longer a concern.
I stayed at the hospital for 4 days & all of the nurses were extremely nice & attentive. I was given medication any time I asked for it, I was assisted with getting my baby to latch on to my breast. I was assisted when I had pain, the nurses regularly came in to my room to check on me & insisted that if I needed anything to just ring the bell and ask. Every single time I rang the bell a nurse was on her way to my room within minutes. The only thing I wasn’t ecstatic about was that the rooms are not very spacious. But that is not really anything out of this world. Everyone gets their own private room with bathroom inside.
The manager of the nurse team came in to my room to check on me & she noticed my AC was making a loud noise & she immediately requested for my room to be switched. The nurse helped my husband move all of our belongings from our room to our new room.

Overall my stay was very nice & I cannot complain about the service at all. I wish I remembered all of the names but I cannot, the whole team was great. I appreciate the service they offered me.

IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS. THIS IS EASILY THE WORSE HOSPITAL IN NYC AND THAT'S SAYING ALOT. WAITED IN EMERGENCY ROOM FOR 20 HOURS. I WAS POLITE FOR MAJORITY OF THE TIME AND GOT NOTHING DONE. ONCE I STARTED TO GET LOUD AND AGGRESSIVE ALL ANSWERS WERE GIVEN. GO TO JACOBI THIS EINSTEIN PLACE IS TRASH

I called the main number to find out about my cousin who was transported to this hospital with chest pain, they left me on hold for 30 minutes, this is inexcusable.

I am 28 weeks pregnant was having contractions called my ob she said come right in.so me and ny children went to the hospital right at the door security stopped me and said your children can't be in emergency I said well I can't leave them home they are children. I'm having contractions and pain and I'm only 28 weeks pregnant I was told to come right sway to labor and delivery.h e said well go speak to the lady at the front. She gave me the phone to a nurse from the 6th floor who told me I can't come up and be seen with the kids and if I did they will call children's services.she told me to 1st find someone for them then you can come up. Smh so I ended up leaving in pain, upset and crying and still having contractions. This is the difference between the private hospital I normally go to nyp Weil cornel in the city compared to here which is clearly not a private ran hospital. How do u turn away pregnant moms or anyone with kids that may not have anyone else. I even told her my husband will come he's no where near here but he will come as he was at work. Still they said no. I will never go back here again.and I will continue care at nyp Manhattan where you will get the best care and treatment from.everyone.

I came to this hospital for one thing the doctors and nurses found a slew of other things they saved my life

I got to the E. R around 8: 50am and they called me very quickly less than 5 mins and then they break up patients by color zone. Mine was the white zone. I was quickly seen by the doctor and they quickly did my test and my exams as well as got me medication. I was quickly taken to get an ultrasound. Everything quick except waiting for the results that took long apart from that care was really good and quick. Quicker than any other ER I been too.

Let's begin. Extremely unorganized, and lacking sympathy. Arrived in the emergency department roughly after 7am with chronic abdominal pain due to e.coli infection. I was not properly registered and had to be reregistered an hour later. Which was also the first time I saw any clinician. Nurses and doctors could not administer the IV due to my veins being too difficult to work with. This was torturous and left me heavily bruised not completely their fault I confess. After failing to find a reliable vein with the help of an ultrasound. I was left in front of the CatScan staff to receive a cat scan. I fell asleep around 10am due to the morphine they gave me and woke up at 1pm i was completely ignored. My original doctor returned around 2pm to attempt the IV again but was unsuccessful. She advised that an IR doctor would see me to attempt to connect the IV through an alternative method. This never happened, i was informed by the CatScan staff that the doctor had left for the day at 3pm and i was left unattended and ignored with no information until 4pm. At 4pm i had to make some noise with a few staff members to get anything done. Finally around 4: 30pm after a cat scan shift change, i was advised that the procedure would be completed without the IV, and at 4: 42 pm i was advised that a doctor will see me. 5: 11pm now and I'm finally behind two other patients for my cat scan.

If pregnant RUN! Arrived at 9: 30 am with wife 11 weeks pregnant and heavily bleeding.was sent to blue zone only after a hour we ask when it was our turn to only find out they had no record in the computer.was sent back to the rude front desk lady to start all over. After blood work and urine sample we are back again to the front small waiting area.currently 1: 06 pm and nothing at all for a ultra sound. I'm walking around and all I see chit chat among worker's on a great weekend they are going to have and a constant phone playing. THIS PLACE NEEDS SOME SERIOUS STRUCTURE DONE. PLEASE BE AWARE.

Worst place ever! I been in the ER for 3 hours and nobody takes care of me, I’m pregnant I have a really bad pain and they have me sitting down on a chair for 3 hours now my back is killing me and nobody does nothing. They put other patients that don’t really have an emergency first than me and they know I’m pregnant. This is my first time in this hospital I came becaus I really have an appointment emergency but I’m sure I’ll never come back!

Wait was extremely too long as an asthma patient. Didn’t receive any type of acknowledgment until after 2 1/2 hrs! Never got any treatment!

Worked at this Hospital for 15 years! Retired in 2001! Montefiore was remodel inside and Out. Nice place to visit family and Friends

I just got off the phone with your head of radiology. He was extremely rude and condescending. That doesn't say much for your hospital or radiology department. My experience with your hospital left a lot to be desired. 0/5 and I'm so glad I'm not a patient of your hospital or of the head of your radiology department. It doesn't deserve the one star I was forced to give.

I recently gave birth at this hospital and I will forever be grateful to the amazing doctors and nurses. I had severe complications after my delivery and if it wasn't for the amazing doctors and nurses, I wouldn't be writing this. The care I received was beyond my expectations. Nurse Lissette was the most amazing and kindest nurse ever. I wish I could remember all the names of the doctors and nurses who tended to my needs, but for now, I can just say, God bless them all.

Wait time in the emergency room was crazy. During the 2 week stay here the staff was great.

I been waiting for 1: 30 h no body care even that no one at emergency room only me, people like those they put America down, I got very bad experience in here.and it is 1: 19 am and still waiting. And that’s happens only in the Bronx not everywhere ok
