I have to concur with others that this visit was an odd experience. The nurses weren't rude but not very friendly; more robotic than anything. Dr. Jackson did seem arrogant but personable and very knowledgeable. He stated my diagnosis, reasons and prescription /OTC product needs to the nurses, as well as a better technique to care for my skin. Though I waited over an hour past my appointment time to see him, he was in and out in about 15 minutes but I felt I got mostly what I came for and some much needed helpful information. After he left, I told the nurses that I wanted the prescriptions sent to a specific pharmacy but she said the doctor preferred the local one. I told her that if that was my only option, I didn't want them and would seek other alternatives. I later received a call from the nurse telling me that my prescription was sent to the local pharmacy, even though I told her TWICE I didn't want that. She said it was the doctor's decision and his rationale for ignoring my request was that one of the prescriptions was very expensive at my pharmacy but at the local one it was cheaper. I asked her to cancel the order, went to Walgreens and purchased over the counter options based on the diagnosis. Even found one of the recommended OTC products at Marshall's!

Though I found the wait time way too long and didn't like their ignoring my pharmacy request (they could have called me to ask if price was a problem - it wasn't), Dr. Jackson got me the answers I needed but I won't be back.

Doctor Jackson helped me tremendously with my skin care. Good guy and good conversation and direction. I highly recommend him.

I'm so glad my due diligence paid off really well when I found the establishment of Jackson Dermatology. Dr. Jackson and his staff are a breathe of fresh air, filled with professionalism, care, patience and topped with humor. Dr. Jackson has his very own Jackson Angels!

This doctor is truly exceptional! From the moment I entered the doors to his office years ago. I felt welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease. Dr. Jackson has gone above and beyond to be sure that not only my skin, but my complete health and wellness have been made first priority. In a most recent visit, I complained to Dr. Jackson that my blood pressure was too inconsistent for my liking. He immediately called a colleague of his a cardiologist in Brooklyn who saw me immediately and I am happy to say that recommendation saved my life!

Simply put, Dr Jackson is the best Dr I’ve ever had by a long shot. I look forward to my visits. I always leave feeling so much better in every way. I’ll never use anyone else for me and my family. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable. I never was made to wait. And if ever I needed to contact him or his staff, they were super speedy in responding by my inquiries. The office is inviting, and his beautiful staff members are friendly and helpful in every way.

Truly, I would recommend this Dermatology office to anyone seeking answers to better their health and do so in a very personalized way. You’re not just a number to him! You can tell he truly cares about his patients! I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr Jackson is the best dermatologist I came cross in a long time, he is caring, he listens to you attentively. I will recommend Dr Jackson everyone who needs a good dermatologist.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The wait times are always ridiculous, and are never below one hour. The front desk attendant is extremely rude, and Dr. Jackson is never on time for his appointments. Refrain from using this office at all costs!

I want to thanks first my friend who see me in pain for my son head is like I can't find no solution after Went to kingscounty emergency hospital is getting worse next day I went to work I explained my friend the situation she said stop worrying I can help you because I know the best dermatologist who can help you so call tomorrow to set up in appointment brother in sister from August 2021 through October 7 2021, my son head is fully recovered I want to say big thanks to God who put this knowledge in Dr Jackson to cure my pain he dry my tears he make me regain my Joyce I put the steps for you to recognize when a powerful Dr is in charge I want everyone to recognize that Dr Jackson work not with his hands but with all his heart you are the best in the United States. Ladies and gentlemen here the steps where I come from My son hair almost get to normal

Dr. Jackson is just plain rude. He asked me a question and I didn't hear the question correctly. When I answered him he abruptly cut me of and said why are you telling me this that's not what I asked. I was surprised at his response. I never went back to that office.

Welp.the visit was great, Dr Jackson is a good doctor. The 1 star is because the woman who checks your insurance and collects your computer neglected to tell me when she ran my card that Dr. Jackson wasnt in network. I went back for my follow up appointment 6 weeks later and was hit with a $350 bill. When they called to confirm my follow up appointment, no one mentioned it then either. I believe it was all done on purpose to get that money and it’s messed up. For this, I hate you all.

This is a Warning to anyone who even fathoms the thought of going to Jackson Dermatology, please don’t run the other way! My horrible visit with Dr. Michael Jackson started 3/17/21. He is one of the most unprofessional, arrogant, & disrespectful doctors I have ever come in contact with in my life. After waiting 2 hours to see him not only did this doctor rush with me, he also talked over me undermining what I was trying to explain to him the reason I was there which was for my hair loss & dark circles under my eyes due to stress. He only addressed my hair which he examined my scalp but then rushed & try to misdiagnosis me with my dark circles. He did not even look at my eyes or even ask me to pull my mask down to examine them before stepping out & leaving me with the medical assistant with short red hair who had an unpleasant attitude. He claimed the reason I have dark circles which by the way I had since a young age is because he believes I have allergic conjunctivitis. Which his MA tried to explain to me is due to me rubbing my eyes & my allergies. Which I stated very clearly I never once said I rub my eyes nor do I have allergies, red or watery eyes now or ever, allergies are not a concern. To make the experience even worse he kept on insisting on me sending all of my medications to be filled at his pharmacy Prospect Drugs (94 Greene Ave, Brooklyn, NY), I explained to him I prefer to use my pharmacy. His MA went on to explain to me there was 1 medication Minoxidil a special compound that can only be made by prospect drugs no other pharmacy can do it, so she will send all my meds to my pharmacy and the compound to Prospect which I agreed to. The only reason I did not walk out & told them forget everything is because I also had an appointment with my 7yr old which he saw first did well with & it seemed accurate with his diagnose. I spoke with my pharmacy which stated they can make the compound and to send everything there so I told the receptionist she said no problem she will tell him right away. I called my pharmacy the following day to check if my prescriptions were sent & nothing was there but my son's was. That same night on 3/18/21 At 10: 47 PM which I have a recorded phone call of, DR. Jackson called me from his office asking me for an explanation as to why I was requesting for all of my prescriptions to be sent to my pharmacy instead of prospect drugs as he suggested. Knowing how late it was & still couldn’t believe he was calling me at this time I gave him the benefit of the doubt and kept my composer & explained to him what happened at prospect drugs & what my pharmacy stated. He went on to say blatantly lying to me that I told him to send everything to prospect drugs before he left me in the room with his MA. I said to him that was not true, he could ask his MA who then confirmed with me in front of the receptionist that all of my meds were sent to my pharmacy except the Minoxidil compound to be made at Prospect Drugs. He had the audacity to proceed to say to me now 10: 50PM at night “Listen I am the HEAD HONCHO and QUARTERBACK of this office what I say goes! No one else's authority matters in this office but mine! I am the one who puts my name and license on these scripts that have to be sent out to these pharmacies. ” At that point I had had enough, I cut him off still in complete shock this man thought he could call me on my cell at this time of night & disrespect & speak to me in this form of way. I told him very clearly Dr. Jackson do me a favor & do not send any of my scripts, which he said ok and told him to make sure to cancel any and all appointments for my son and myself, I will never be going back to his office again & hung up on him. NO doctor should ever make you feel as violated as I did with him, he made it clear as day he does not care about me as a patient I was only an insurance payment to his practice & his pharmacy. PLEASE I BEG EVERYONE DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS ARROGANT MAN UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE MISSED TREATED AND USED FOR HIS SIDE DEAL WITH PROSPECT DRUGS PHARMACY!

I called the Downtown BK office, I was in the middle of saying my name and she cut me off to and asked me what is my insurance. Once I said what m=y insurance is, she began to say that location does not take my insurance. She was rude and short. Ericka from Brooklyn Hospital was super nice and pleasant on the phone.

He is very knowledgeable but his front desk receptionist is very rude and nasty that today will be my last visit. As a Healthcare provider myself attitude and good people skills go a long way in my book.

Always had the best experience here with the staff and Dr Jackson. He even gave me coupons that made my prescriptions really affordable. Tip is to try to get an early appointment to avoid a wait.

I just called the office this morning to make an appointment to get my face done and the receptionist were rude, unprofessional, disgusting I didn’t even bother to make an appointment! Would never go back there! They all should be fired!

I went to Dr. Jackson for years up until my insurance changed to which he did not accept at his office. Very long wait times however very very worth it. I had very very bad acne! He cleared it up COMPLETELY! I moved from NYC to CT & i traveled all the way from CT for my appointments. It was all worth it. Im still suffering from acne and i write this review thinking about how clear my skin was. I wish there was another doctor like him & wish he took my insurance plan.

Dr. Jackson is a very unprofessional, nasty, angry man. He treats his staff similiar to dogs. He talks down to them in the hallways outside of the patients rooms and he also did it infront of me several times. When he pulls the girls (His medical staff) out of the rooms, they leave happy and after come back looking scared, stressed and teary eyed. He turns the music on when leaving the room but I can still hear him cursing and belittling his staff. He has no respect for patients time, he is ALWAYS late and forever behind schedule. When he is late or behind schedule, he blames his staff but they are always fast and pleasant. A few times in the waiting room, other patients would mention his behavioral and ethical problems that they've seen or heard but some brushed it off. Not me. I will NOT be returning to Jackson Dermatology ever again. Once I even got an expired sample but thank God the young lady gave me 2 samples because the other medication was in good standing. ALSO for the young ladies who work for him, you deserve better and its better out there. Don't be afraid or let him fool you. Get a good job with benefits and leave this miserable doctor. A black doctor who claims to be "for his people/patients" but he could care less about you unless you're paying him more than a copayment. BE AWARE!

Dr. Jackson needs to put thought into the young people he hires in his office. The young ladies in that office seems to lack in respect and bed side matter.

Dr. Jackson is the kindest and best dermatologist I’ve ever seen. The office is elegant and very zen- it feels like a very high end spa.

He is terrific at making you look and feel your best. He is a wonderful doctor and very sensitive to your needs. You will love the guy- he is down to earth and easy to talk to. He always answers questions and has the patience of Job. He spends time with you unlike other dermatologists who spend 30 seconds then run out of the room before you can even ask any questions.
He is old school, experienced and a real doctor. They don’t make doctors like Dr. Jackson anymore.

You must use his pharmacist. He is just okay! First time and last time, I have seen better Dermatologist, I went because my friend said he helped her. He did nothing different then my Dr.in VA.

Soooo went to this doctors office today and left before I even saw the doctor. Turned off instantly, why am I forced to give my social and forced to take a picture.ummm yea no thanks. Back to dr Michelle Henry I go.
