Jacob’s Pickles, Brooklyn NY

I was in the market and I decided to order the Buffalo chicken mac and cheese from here, and it was pretty good! The sauce was really creamy and the chicken crunchy, but in my opinion the blue cheese drizzle was a bit too overpowering for the rest of the flavours. If I ordered again I’d go for their classic mac and cheese.

Amazing pickles! They are spicy and very crunchy. The fried chicken on biscuits was very good.

Delicious! We got the sausage and gravy biscuit and chicken. It was delicious! Then we got a HUGE cookie that was so good! Nice way to top off a delicious meal.

Pretty dope fried chicken sandwich but the rudest service ever. The girl at the register needs a lesson in hospitality.

After years of walking by Jacob‘s pickles on the UWS (upper West side) I was here at Time out market at water Street at decided to finally give their food to try and they did not disappoint. The chicken sandwich was amazing and lasted me for two days. The square biscuit threw me off, but it tasted delicious, and macaroni and cheese made with a pin a noodle instead of elbow macaroni is the cheesiest, and I finally got to try fried Oreos for the first time in my life, which was OK but nothing on Jacob‘s pickles so customer service was excellent and they were very friendly and engaging and on the plus side they have delicious pickles.

Was in Brooklyn and had to visit the Time Out Market per a friends recommendation. With so many delicious food stalls in here, I stumbled upon Jacob's Pickles as the presentation looked incredibly delicious.

The Food: I went with the Nashville Hot Chicken Biscuit Sandwich Combo with a side of Mac N Cheese. I can tell you, from the plates I see being served to others, you will be in a food coma right after the meal! The fried chicken itself was cooked to perfection. Nice layer of crunchy skin, and tender meat that just break apart so easily. The meat was also very juicy and flavorful. They had the Nashville hot seasoning down to a T. The Mac N Cheese was also a star player here. The pasta cooked well and the cheese combined together made it perfect. Right amount of gooey cheese that made every bite worth it.

The Service: Service was great! Ordered at the kiosk and waited for my order. Wasn't long before I was called to pick up mine for to go. Staff are nice and friendly as well.

The Atmosphere: Since it was a food stall, can't speak too much on it's own atmosphere. But they do have a bar area in front of their kitchen for you to eat. Not that much seating, so you may need to find another spot up or downstairs.

Overall, 5/5. Chicken cooked perfectly with incredible flavor. I'd highly giving this place a try.

Okay, I only had the fried pickles here, and they were dam good. Fried Chicken looks awesome but not very cardiac friendly

Got hot honey chicken with mac&cheese with a friend. It was so delicious we talked about it days after. I highly recommend it!

Great chicken sandwich. Ate chicken separate from the biscuit. Biscuit was very tasty also. Highly recommend. Wife's Mac and cheese was very cheesy and good. Large servings.

Our experience at Jacob's Pickles was great!
We ordered a caesar salad with southern fried chicken and biscuit.

It was huge - good for 2 people. Service not so quick (this is the reason for 4 stars) but the food was delicious and fresh.

The only setback is that there were no seats available in the Time Out Market, so we had to eat in a small corner standing up.

Best fried chicken. We ordered the hot Nashville and hot honey and both were great. One portion is big enough for two.

I enjoyed the food but.

It's always hard to be certain but 12 hours after eating here, the three of us who ate the chicken all came down with food poisoning. It was only the thing that those three (out of our family of four) all ate and the other person didn't.

Terrible. We ordered a combo. Our first cut of the chicken was white - great! But when we cut further into the middle of the chicken pieces, both were pink in the middle. We chose to raise this with the staff and showed them the pink meat and was advised that it's fully cooked, and the pink is coming from their marinades and sauces. Rubbish. Undercooked and not suitable to be serving food as other reviews have mentioned food poisoning. The staff offered to make us another to which we refused as all trust was lost. Asked for a refund. Avoid.

We ordered the honey fried chicken biscuit and pickles sandwich. The chicken was delicious and the pickles on top gave great additional flavour. The biscuit is fresh and not too salty or overpowering. Comes with 2 chicken pieces in the sandwich. Would recommend splitting 1 sandwich with a friend/partner as it’s a bit $

Honey chicken was easily the best I have ever had, hugely impressed and would definitely come again!

There's no shortage of food options at the Time Out market but we went for a Jacob's chicken sandwich and mac and cheese. Best decision!

Massive portions, tasty food (go for the honey chicken if you have a sweet tooth and appreciate the change up from maple syrup) and reasonable prices.

Other than a small counter there's no dedicated space other than the shared food hall seating areas so if you're a big group you might want to try and reserve a table.
