I have had knee osteoarthritis for 10 years, and knew I would eventually need knee replacements. Unfortunately, but fortunately, a freak accident, July 16,2022 put me in contact with Dr. Jakub Tatka. I read his impressive profile, and of course experience, and knew I found the surgeon I needed! And, he is an expert with the Mako Robotic technology.
My right knee surgery took place December 2022. And, left knee, May 10,2023.
You literally will walk same day of surgery.
And, don't forget physical therapy. It will accelerate your recovery
Personally, I have never been afraid of surgeries, or needles. I go into them serene and confident knowing that I am in the hands of caring medical professionals from registration to the recovery room.

Dr. Tatka is a highly skilled professional with great expertise in regard to anterior hip replacements. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering a hip replacement.

I'd give it five stars but the building is dirty (the practice is clean) and is entirely off putting to new patients. No arrows in hall to direct people to suite numbers, and just prison-like. Paint and get done artwork up.
The doctor, his PA, and receptionist were great. Truly.

Great staff and doctor very good experience the only negative is that elevator is far from the suite so it’s a little difficult when walking with a fractured pelvis as well as the bathroom

Dr. Tatka replaced my right hip a year ago. It went well. He was patient then, listened closely, and explained everything that needed explanation. I had left hip pain recently, so I saw him again. After X-rays he determined it not to be in need of surgery (it might be back-related or bursitis, he said) and referred my to Dr. Gerard Varlotta.

I highly recommend Dr. Tatka and his staff. The anterior approach to hip replacement was very successful. I’m 2 weeks out and walking well with minimal discomfort.

My visit today was good. Dr. Tatka was informative, offered helpful advice and answered my questions. I would definitely reccomend Dr. Tatka to anyone considering surgery. He is very professional and a kind physician.

Received promptly and was escorted to my exam room.
Tiffany my PA was expeditious checking my needs and reason for my visit. She arranged for an xray of my left hip.
Dr. Tatka arrived in moments to review my unique status.
He explained his take on my left hip and my weight issues that needed immediate action.
The Dr indicated that I would be a good candidate for hip replacement when my BMI index reach safe levels.
His recommendation was a cortisone shot to bridge my pain management until I am ready for surgery.

Was back on the road by 9: 39am.
No issues!

Had my follow-up with Dr. Tatka. Everything from my surgery on Feb 2 to my follow-up visit has been an excellent experience. I will tell you that Dr. Tatka is phenomenal. I could not be more please with how everything turned out.
