I cannot say enough about the outstanding service our family received at a very difficult time.
Anthony met with us on a Sunday morning on Christmas Eve 2023. His knowledge, care, concern and guidance was evident.
James Funeral Home was able to meet all the needs of our family from arrangements to flowers to photos to even making sure our large group was fed. The facilities were beautiful and spotless.
Mom looked peaceful and natural.
Anthony and his team did an amazing job and we can't thank them enough. The level of service provided went beyond what we expected.

My family has (unfortunately) had several funeral services through James over the past 10 years, Although this was the first time, I was the one doing the planning.

The people who work there are phenomenal. Anthony was great. They are caring and will help you set up everything, they are flexible and make themselves available, staying in communication. They took their time, stayed sensitive and truly are great people. In a hard time they were very kind. They helped set up arrangements with a wonderful deacon and Calverton, coordinating all of our needs. Facilities are clean and their larger room is very comfortable. Also, the video was a huge hit.

The only reason I gave this a four instead of a five is that on their website it says very clearly that payment plans can be arranged - and due to some unforeseen holdup with an insurance policy, some last-minute stress led me to needing more time for the final payment, which was about 1/3 of the overall cost. Although I was reaffirmed the services would still go on as planned, (thankfully) they do not actually have any kind of monthly payment plan available. They were, however, able to suggest a line of credit with CareCredit, which I never knew before was possible, but was appreciative of. That worked out. However, my family was quite turned off by their inability to accept payments when advertised as an option. As the coordinating person this was a sticky cause of frustration. Later, I had some questions about some of the costs and they took their time to walk through, and all except for one were explained. There was a charge for $50. They were unsure of what it was for.

Again, in a time of stress they were kind and sincere, but need to update their website and pricing to reflect their practice.

John at James Funeral Home was very helpful in every aspect of the process after the passing of our mother. We are grateful for the way we were treated and the compassion that was shown to us.

My experience at James Funeral Home in Massapequa exceeded all expectations. John, Anthony and the entire staff went above and beyond to make everything go smoothly for everyone. They are very professional, compassionate, caring and helpful in every way needed. I’ve had 2 funerals within the past 2 years with them and both times were flawless. They handled everything I needed and more. Every thoughtful detail and arrangement was perfect (flowers, cards, book, video, etc). They absolutely provided an exceptional, special, unique and personalized experience for our family and friends. Communication was excellent and immediate. They shared a wealth of information and answered questions with clarity and ease. They are good, honest, friendly people who I highly recommend to anyone. The building is extremely clean, fresh and updated. I can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience here. We are so very grateful to everyone at James Funeral Home. We thank you from our hearts.

The staff went above and beyond to address all of our concerns. John even came in on his day off to make sure that we were happy with the final outcome of our father's appearance. He went the extra mile to create the best experience possible to honor our father. The accommodations were perfect for all members of our family, from the babies to the elderly. A year ago made arrangements for Mom. Dad passed the day before the wake! Anthony took care of EVERYTHING. Church, additional arrangements, (more pall beares) & Calverton. James Funeral Home in Massapequa is amazing. From the minute I called them about my father and spoke with Anthony, the entire staff was very professional, caring, and accommodating. My brother, my mom, and I met with John Senia. He covered every detail with us. Joe Iannucci took the time to meet us and to check that we were all set. Fran was so gracious to us. Ed who accompanied us to Maria Regina and then to Holy Rood was wonderful. Honestly, we were treated like we were part of their families. My father looked natural and like he did in life. James’ is well run and very clean. Bring your loved one to James. You and your family will be impeccably supported there.
