Do not rent. Windows and walls leak cold air, to heat such poorly insulated apartments costs hundreds of dollars in electricity bills ($700+ a month in the winter to be exact). Management is unresponsive and impossible to get in contact with. Super is unhelpful and aggressive, resorts to steamrolling and yelling when you attempt to voice concerns. Packages are occasionally lost and there is no recourse. I would give 0 stars if I could. Terrible building, terrible experience.

*Edited 12/28 in response to owner’s comment - We have submitted at least 5 maintenance requests for the windows and heat since July 2020. Your response is neither helpful nor sincere, further proving my point that the “service” you all provide is a joke.

Everyone is really kind and staff is very attentive and helpful. We have met some neighbors already and are excited to get to know more! We are really happy here!

Lived in the james marquis for 3 years. Great location in the UWS. Nice doormen and staff, the building is in good condition and kept clean. The only con is that the elevators could be slow at times. Lucky to have been on a low floor to take the stairs when needed. Quiet units and i was never disturbed by loud noises. Would def reccomend leasing here.

I would put 0 star if I could.
Highly unprofessional leasing "professionals". They will act like they're responsive in the first place and then keep quiet to end up saying application came in and apartment is taken. Keeping apartments on the market while unavailable. Don't waste your time and / or money trying to rent a place there.

Long waits for only two elevators, one of which is Freight, in a 20-story building. Forced air heating, which raises electric bill by hundreds during the winter; LR unit not powerful enough to cool entire LR plus foyer. Old windows which leak like sieves. Low ceilings. Claustro kitchens.
Nice doormen and maintenance men; building kept clean; repairs done promptly.
