Japanese Garden reviews
17This is one of the most beautiful places in Buffalo. Park by the museum and then take a stroll alongside a lot of different plants and structures. You can also cross a pedestrian bridge to go to Hoyt Lake and the nearby casino! Usually not that busy and a fantastic place to walk in the morning
Decided to go here and have an impromptu picnic. Thought having sushi in the Japanese Gardens would be a perfect fit!
Plenty of beautiful views to be had with a very diverse selection of wildlife that can be found without trying. Seen fish, turtles, and lots of birds for examples. Even got a picture of a heron.
This place is absolutely a (not so) hidden gem of Buffalo.
Not at all accessible, not even a railing to get down the rocks safely, or a sign to a path that's accessible. Beautiful, though.
Delaware Park and the Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees are very pretty. Everywhere is a picturesque moment. It's easy for any photographer to snap a picture and be happy with it. I flew my drone here and got some very pretty pictures!
I also enjoyed seeing everyone walking their dogs, I might take my dog here sometime! I'm sure it'll be a great park in the summer with all the shade.
A massive turnout for this year's cherry blossom festival in excellent weather. A real morale-booster after the last two years. Great place to be out and about, and the cherry blossoms rose to the occasion (as they usually do!)
A very pleasant park to visit, and the weather certainly helped. Apparently a popular wedding shoot location. Certainly not an oriental excess outside, but there is also a museum there which I unfortunately did not visit this time.
Beautiful place. Cherry festival is the best time to visit. History museum also there. Delaware park is around there.
Beautiful place to take a walk or find some zen! The cherry blossom trees are great to see when in bloom
This is a really nice area, there is a trail that goes around the little lake where the Japanese garden is, you can find the stone stairwell right behind the Buffalo museum of natural history. The falls colors look beautiful reflecting off the water. I had a peaceful walk with others doing the same.
Sorry for the duplicate pictures, Google will glitch and add them more than once sometimes
We love going to the Japanese Garden. It's very beautiful and peaceful. It's the closest you can get to actually feeling like you're in Japan!
Beautiful gardens with lots of stone made decorations. It is very relaxing to spend time at.via paved trails connecting to Hoyt Lake, and into the rest of Delaware Park.well kept up.
It's so majestic here! Beautiful at every season but especially beautiful when the roses bloom in the spring. Pictured here is late September (early fall). This is not a Zen garden but rather a stroll garden to commemorate the sister city relationship between Buffalo, New York and Zanazawa City, Japan. The two cities entered a sister relationship in 1975. The garden features Japanese stonework and bridges along a pathway and atop Mirror Lake, plus plants, flowers, shrubs, and other greenery to honor Japan. Esucational plaques throughout. The park is accessible from the Buffalo History Museum parking lot where off-street parking is available. Other noteworthy historical landmarks are visible as you traverse the pathway from the garden in either direction.
Again, peaceful and beautiful especially when the garden is in full bloom! Good photos taken while on my friends boat! Others should try it!
Serene. Serene and beautiful. I wish there was an English word that combined the two. I've always wanted to visit this place and I'm glad that I did. I will definitely be coming back every season. The landscaping, the architecture, the paths - EVERYTHING is beautiful!
It's the first time we have been here. Though there are lots of people near the garden entrance. The Sakura is very beautiful. Along the trail, the lake makes us feel peaceful. It's a good place to go for a walk in downtown.
Amazing experience there! Very pretty. It gives me chill and anime vibes. The cherry blossom trees were very beautiful. The little lantern-like structures were very pretty also. I definitely recommend going there during spring. (Late spring) Its very relaxing and chill there. It also gives me Lofi hip hop vibes. Overall, I definitely recommend going there!
Beautiful and serene scenery! Everyone is so chill there. It gives me chill vibes. Definitely recommend going there. It’s a stress reliever. Reminds me of the LoFi hip hop I listen to. I recommend going there during the spring and summer. And if you want the full experience, I recommend playing (if you know how) a Japanese instrument. Overall, beautiful place with serene and tranquil scenery! I hope you enjoy it!
