Jay's Hallmark Shop, New York NY

Tried to visit this store on 20 December 2023. However, it has been shut down and regardless of the opening times given online it is no longer open.

Really have gone downhill over the last several years. Hit and miss if their “computer” is working to get Gold Crown Rewards. Or if they’re just saying so to job folks out of using GC coupons. Customer service ranges from great to apathetic.

Avoid this place. I placed an order online for a specific card and received an email that it was available for pick up at this specific store. I called ahead to make sure it was there, the person who answered put me on hold, then asked to call me back in 5 min… he never did. When I showed up the next day, he told me that the card is not available and there is nothing he can do about it. He was pretty rude about it. When I asked if there was an other card that had what I wanted, he told me “I don’t know go look in the card aisle. ” It’s a greeting card store, all aisles are card aisles….

Ran out there to pick up cards for teacher appreciation week. Sadly, there was nothing in the preferred local shops.
Unfortunately, they too had an extremely limited selection. Better than zero I suppose but still, limited.

Better than ever.same huge range of gift items as well as Hallmark products and cards.don't usually go into the port authority but I will for these guys on the 2nd Floor of the North building off 42nd st!

I went there to purchase postcards, they didn’t have any. The seller wasn’t welcoming at all, he made me feel as if I was a thief

I feel this store is very mismanaged and unhelpful. I ordered an ornament online on 12/5 and today (12/7) I was informed via email that my ornament has arrived at the store and is available for pick up. At the store, they asked for my name at least five times after I had provided it to them along with the order number. Even though Hallmark customer service confirmed it was delivered, the store says they do not have it. Their response was there is nothing they can do and that I should have called the store first before coming to make sure they did indeed have it (even though the email, the tracking and Hallmark customer service confirmed they do). I requested a refund via Hallmark Customer Service and I will not be returning to that store.

I haven't been there for a long time. It moved to the upper floor and is bigger and better

I placed an order to pick up ornaments via online pick up. My order was confirmed. My order was then cancelled. When I called to inquire I spoke to a representative named jay who was extremely rude and disrespectful. He told me “there’s nothing” and that everything is on reserve. When I asked how I could reserve me he became aggressive on the phone and told me “look at my hands, I have nothing. ” And continued to shout and be aggressive. There is no need to speak to customers in such a disrespectful manner, especially for customer who are just inquiring as to item availability and how they could purchase an item.
