Despite the “chill” vibes and openness the JEC / Olami is presenting, it’s all an orthodox agenda to get more converts, married couples and kids enlisting in their frum way of life. Not a safe environment for bipoc, queer, lower income folks, and a reminder, “nothing is truly free in life without consequences to give into. ” It’s a clique for upper middle class white Jews and their efforts to marry and invest only with those who conform / fit in. Despite how pious the “religious staff” might be they’re judgmental to how you dress, express, and if you don’t share their religious or zionistic values. For a Jewish denomination that claims to “love all its tribe members” it’s surely an exclusive club for those who they choose to belong. Don’t buy into the promos if you aren’t willing to play the game!
