Jimmy's Grand Cafe, Bronx NY

I’ve gone to Jimmy’s many times in the past, mostly out of habit. But I don’t really plan on going back, because there really isn’t anything I’ll be missing out on. The food is much more expensive than the quality you receive. Certain dishes are executed well, other ones don’t work at all. The menu is absolutely huge, which is more daunting and difficult than helpful. If I want breakfast food there are better options, if I want Greek there are better options, if I want Italian there are better options, same too for drinks. It’s a good place for a party or a gathering, especially if people don’t mind food that’s meh and can’t decide on one thing.

The hostess said she couldn't seat us until the rest of our party arrived. We had arrived half hour early. A few minutes later the owner came over and I explained that I was going to officiate a wedding in his restaurant and I needed the large back booth. He said "of course, please go back there and wait for your party at the booth. " I was so thankful. The servers were also very attentive.

Good meal, service and crowd. I recommend and have been there several times great local for me.

Place looks really nice. Parking is scarce. Neighborhood is okay.
Service is average, asked for water and they forgot, but the workers are polite. Food portions are very small for the price charged but it is tasty. Alcoholic beverages are on the stronger side, not really disguising the taste of alcohol, which to me defeats the purpose of a mixed drink. Overall 3 stars

The food experience was wonderful.except the chicken wings were tough dry and tasteless. Overall I give them four stars.

Food is always good, servers are always nice, and it's never too crowded. I usually get the Dominican breakfast or an omlette for breakfast and the burgers I've had for lunch, and I've never had a complaint about anything.

The food was good and the waiter (she sound European wish I had gotten her name) was very nice and friendly. She had a comfortable vibe. Besides the manager and staff was very nice.

I just wasted $30 on the penne a la vodka with meatballs. It was disgusting, not good at all! Jimmy’s should leave the Italian food to the Italians

Okay, so. Jimmy's is a very attractive place, and Jimny himself makes you feel at home whenever you are there. The food is okay the ambience is very nice.

Clean, professional, an abundance of food. They don't rush you out. Had a great time with immediate family.

Tried their brunch for the first time a good variety to select from. I personally had the steak eggs and maduros. Had a mimosa and you can do an hour for an additional $10. Food and service was great.

The waiter was rude soon as he came to the table.
The food was like dinner food.
There was an older gentleman that escorted us to the table in the entrance with white hair he was welcoming and pleasant but after that the service was horrible

I visited on two different occasions once for dinner and once for breakfast and I was impressed both times with food and service. The food is a good portion. The drinks are strong especially that rum punch and everything was well seasoned. The menu is extensive it's so much to choose from so whatever your in the mood for they have you covered. They also have an upstairs so in the event that you need to do a private party they can accommodate that as well. Overall I had a good time and will definitely visit again.

Nothing to write home about. Defenitly need improvements made in customer service. Waiter was such a bore. Too busy and it wasn't even crowded on a Sunday morning. But whatever will never go thete again.

Excellent breakfast. 2 eggs over easy with corned beef hash and potatoes. Friendly staff. Nice interior. Nicer than most diners, actually. Not crowded at 8am on Sunday.
