Jing Fong - UWS, New York NY

The food is delicious, and I admit that Seojin Lee has great taste. However, the service was a bit chaotic, perhaps because it was just before lunch closed.
The two of us paid about $80 including tip.

Is the unit price higher because the neighborhood is in the upper west?

I thought it was a bit salty
ㅡI felt that way even more after recently visiting Dimsum Palace. ㅡI don’t think it’s worth visiting.

Excellent food overall. Was very available for tables on a Tuesday evening. The salt fried pork chop was excellent. The roast pork bun was solid but I wouldn’t get it again. Shumai was excellent as was the soup dumpling. My friend also got the general tsos chicken which was a very good version. Overall a solid dining experience at reasonable prices for nyc.

Like most of the dim sum dishes here, and the BBQ Roast pork bun is memorable which I will definitely be back here next time and just for it. Had a cute server who names Tony are impeccable, although the store were crowded but he was trying his best to serve us. Overall I will give it a 5 stars.

Portions are small, atleast on delivery. A little disappointed with the taste of half the food.

I went there because I heard it was the Chinatown branch where Seojin Lee went. I went to the Natural History Museum and it was a good evening course. Due to the characteristics of the Upper West region, it has a clean residential feel and there are not many tourists, giving it an exotic feel. The restaurant is also delicious and good. I couldn't take a picture.
Please look at the picture of the receipt for the menu. When I asked for soup recommendations, they said they had nothing to recommend. Maybe it's because it doesn't taste good, or maybe it's because I'm busy.
Dim sum was tastier than Korean. Is it cost-effective? Still, I feel like I paid more and got something worse.

Food was delicious, but our server was not the nicest. He messed up our desert order and then acted like we made the mistake. He acted like we were wasting his time.

The service was the worst. He didn't say hello and his expression wasn't good. I was eating a plate and they took it without asking. It was rude of him to take orders. I was living in Canada and I've always been happy to tip. But this place was too angry to tip, and he ran out the door screaming and arguing. I want to tell you not to think of any tips for the worst service ^^

Have been a customer for years when Jing Fong was still in Chinatown, I remain a customer as the food is still worth the trip to either Centre St or the Amsterdam Ave restaurants. If you've never eaten in either place, I recommend trying it.

No sauces at all. I ordered watons. Shrimp fried rice was bland. No flavor. Only a few shrimp. Really could have been saved by sauce, but not good for the price.

We tried ordering a fish dish. The waiter went away, came back some time later, told us they were out of it.

Again with anoth er dish!

The ony reson i stayed was because my wife had hurt her leg and couldnt walk.

So we endured, ate the food. It was worse than below average. We were looking forward to try the dim sum, but it ws mealy amd old. Tasteles.

We definitely won't be back there.

My go to Chinese on the UWS. It’s like having Chinatown on my block (almost). I’m a frequent customer for dim sum as well as lunch and dinner.

I came in at 8: 55 pm just as they were closing. Jay kindly opened the door made great food recommendations and did not rush me at all. The food was delicious, I ordered thr hot and sour soup, the eggplant entree and the veggie dumplings. Jay was so kind in all of pur conversations. Definitely recommend this for good dim sum!

Service is bad and the food is average at best. The only thing that was ok was the dim sum.
