JJ International Delicatessen, Port Jervis NY

The food is great, BUT the owner is not!
Very arrogant!
Seems as if customers are disturbing him.
Can't even ask him a question. He gets defensive.
Very bad people skills and should stay out of the front and let the ladies do it.
The ladies do a terrific job because I think they're scared of him!
I asked him a question, and he replied very sarcastically, " I KNOW WHAT I AM DOING! "
That's not how you should speak with your customers.
Because of his terrible attitude, I will no longer patronize this

My husband and I went to JJ Deli to grab lunch on a Saturday. He got his favorite, the beef hot dog special with meat sauce. Actually, he got 2! I ordered a BLT on rye. It was so delicious, especially since it's made with their hunter bacon and fresh local tomatoes and lettuce. Everything I've ever gotten there has been wonderful, the salads, the babkas, the kielbasy - all sooo good. I would highly recommend this deli for lunch, for dinner, for parties, for BBQs, for anything. They have everything you would need. 5+ stars!

Wow! What a find. Great sandwiches and fresh pierogies. Lots of European specialties on the shelves. Very friendly employees and customers. We will definitely return.

Great place. All of their food and groceries are imported from Germany and Poland. Brands and products only available overseas. Deli is made fresh.

Excellent sandwiches piled high, super nice and helpful staff. Delicious, carefully selected ethnic grocery. Have loved everything I’ve ever eaten from here.

We called an order in and by mistake the ticket was lost, so the sandwich wasn't ready. To make up for the mistake the gentleman bought our lunch. Excellent customer service. We had a delicious pastrami on rye with sides of pickled beets and coleslaw. A solid old school deli.

On our way to a @RaceSMEC event in Cuddebackville NY, we wanted a local sandwich. Did we ever hit the Jackpot with JJ, great food, great selection, & extremely great people! Let the pics do the talking

Called to place an order. They were busy which is more than okay. However, the man who answers was incredibly rude! He said “ yeah like I said we’re backed up so do you wanna order or not” in the nastiest tone. I will never order again… customer service is always first!

Ordered the "Italian" sandwich. It was delicious, the service was exemplary. The staff were friendly and courteous. Definitely recommend! 5/5

Boy did I love this place! Decided to try this time I went thru Port Jervis and I was not dissapointed! Very quaint deli with three tables, full deli and specialty foods. Had a couple dogs with AMAZING home made kraut which were great. Sampled the German Potato salad and mac salad which were both outstanding. Brought all three home for the family along with some other goodies! Had to try the home made peach cheesecake. I'll be getting it again. BEST of all were the employees. All were very helpful, kind, and explained things well. You can tell they appreciate their customers! Next time I'm up in Port J I know where I'll be having lunch!

I ordered the roasted turkey club sandwich and I brought home a few knish for my wife, she said it was the best she had ever had. And yes my hero was absolutely amazing will recommend and will continue to go there.
