Diner Joe Jr. reviews
15 Great breakfast…
I had a burger kinda mediocre and a shake which was 5 dollars and pretty small
The diner itself is small and has a comfy atmosphere
Small quaint corner eatery. I choose to sit at the counter, a throwback to last century. My service was quick and professional. The food was delicious and the coffee hot. I'd recommend the western omelette.
Looking for love in an old school diner, here it is. The guys running it have been working together 30 plus years.
Traditional NYC diner that offers good breakfasts. Our group enjoyed everything we ordered.
Service is beyond super. I order from them so much they call me Mr Mike over the phone.:) I'm the one that gets the banana pancakes with 2 over easy eggs and sausage with fresh OJ. Their food is on the money. Thanks guys. One caveat, you may find their prices pricy.
Reminds me of my childhood when diners were a staple of my diet. My server was a mind reader, quick and efficient. He was extremely aware of my possible needs. Where can you find affordable meals in the 21st century? You can right here!
Absolutely awesome diner burger, one of the best around.well priced, classic, good size, delicious.the fries are good.it’s an old school diner, nothing fancy.grab a seat at the bar, and you’ll be able to order and have your food in no time.better than some of these flashy new burgers that are way more expensive.
We came here for the dinner experience and we're satisfied on this point, the atmosphere is pretty nice and the furniture '50s looking.
Unfortunately, the food is not bad not not amazing either especially since it's fairly expensive (30 euros for some pancakes, bacon, eggs and coffee).
The waiter wasn't very nice but to be fair the place was packed so he was probably in a rush.
I could’ve just been really hungry but I think the pancakes here are the best I’ve ever had
To do something simple, with excellence, is not easy. I have eaten the classic two egg, sausage, home fries and toast breakfast all over NYC, and this is my favorite place. Best balance of good cooking, sausage selection, toast quality, service speed, price and staff friendliness. Old school diner excellence right here. $15 including coffee
Food and service was more than outstanding. Don't be deceived by the appearance.its small but clean. Fast and friendly service!
Lucas is wonderful! He went over and beyond to make us feel right at home. Can't wait to return°°°
This spot has an old-school feel. Everyone is extremely friendly. Guys all work very well together, and food is well done and reasonable.
Solid burger, no frills, good service and good food. Need to rate 4.5 for this really. Good stuff.
It is the classic neighborhood spot. Joe Jr.has been a staple of Gramercy Park for decades. Their food is always served fresh and hot, and you truly cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Breakfast is the best but make sure you also try out their sandwiches and famous burgers. Overall I would love to give it a 5 star review but over recent years their prices continue to increase and the general service/experience does not.
Tried the cheeseburger and the patty melt on rye. Both were great! I recommend medium rare for the best taste/texture.
