Joe's Pizza reviews
14Cash only. Delicious pizza by the slice. Limited seating so expect to possibly go sit in the park across the street.
Meh is the best way to describe it. Cash only btw and their atm is down so deal with that how you’d like
Best. Pizza. In. The. City.
The West Village isn’t an Italian neighborhood anymore but like salmon swimming upstream or swallows returning to Capistrano, you’ll find Sicilians making the trek to Carmine St.for a late night slice. Joe’s is open until the wee hours and there are plenty of benches nearby if you don’t want to eat standing at the counter. Or, devour your slice while heading down Carmine St.to Unoppresive Non-Imperialist Bargain Books, another neighborhood highlight.
I usually put garlic oregano and other toppings on my slices after first tasting the Joes pizza I didn't have too the flavor was perfect
Cash only! Hot fresh slices. They were delicious. By the slice there is only cheese and pepperoni, so if you have dietary restrictions you may want to order a whole pie and customize it.
While we were eating pizza outside, we saw a mouse coming out of the restaurant. Be careful when taking your money. They give torn money.
A classic buy by the slice that is straight to the point delicious. Crispy crust, and the sauce is amazing if you love the fresh tomatoes taste, and the ratio of cheese was perfect. Nothing to complain about here. There was a nice on Sunday 2pm but it moved fast and the price was great for an ideal lunch.
Delicious Pizza! Great service despite it being busy at time's, you'll enjoy those slices no matter what.
So, lunch today was at Joe's Pizza, in Greenwich Village. This is supposedly a mildly famous pizza joint, open since forever, and for the life of me I can't figure why. I had three pepperoni pizza slices, and they where average, regular NYC-style pizza slices. The biggest negative was how greasy they were, and the biggest plus was their size (I would have ordered only two slices, had I known they were this big). Mind you, average, greasier-than-average pepperoni pizza still tastes great, but it's nothing to write home about, definitely a three stars kinda place.
Sooooo overrated. Officially a tourist trap. It used to be good but the quality has completely diminished over the years.crust tastes like cardboard. 10 better pizza options within a few blocks of this place.
Best pizza in NYC (and probably the world!).
We had the pepperoni & the gramma pizza, O M G. That night we did a “pizza place tour” and this got 11/10, none of the other 2 places could come close.
SO CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED AT THIS PIZZA PLACE THE NIGHT OF THE HUGE BRAWL CAUGHT ONLINE?
People will rave about this pizza but I don't even consider it in my top 50. Very JV slices and not a big selection of toppings. I think the best thing about this place is that it's in a great location.
It was good but maybe I'm not a nyc pizza lover. I didn't find it anything special. Or maybe I've been eating fake pizza my whole life and this is the real pizza experience. Didn't know what i was expecting but I'm disappointed with the taste coz of the hype. People were great, location was good. With indoor seats but best to eat standing up outside. It's cooler compared inside. No coke but have other sodas. Good volume of people inside for a Tuesday afternoon.
