Joe’s Steam Rice Roll reviews
18 They never sanitized anything! Very dirty environment. Food is nasty and not authentic at all.
There’s other good rice roll place located in Prince Street. Highly recommend to go that one instead of Joe’s, they are way better and way cleaner!
Excellent place to enjoy bye your self. The place it self has alot of different food a food core of its own Asian food and its culture. People are friendly. I love to b eat there. You should try it.
Looks like a fast chinese food place but actually waited for25min and the food wasnt even that good compare to nearby alternatives, rude service.
Do not recommend especially when you are in a hurry
The steamed rice roll is okay. You get to choose the protein and whether you want extra things like egg, fish ball, lettuce, etc. I really like their chinese crepe. It got some crunchy stuff inside, and the pork floss adds the salty touch to the dish. They also add hot sauce but it is not spicy at all, more sweet actually with the hot sauce taste. There are only a couple counter seats and it is located in a small food court area place kinda so it's a little crowded.
I’m a big rice noodle roll lover!
Little place always with the line.
That means food is gooood!
Delicious varieties flavors includes eggs pork beef shrimp vegetarian etc.
There is couple of chairs you can eat there, but I just take it to go usually.
Today my brunch with the family.
Found this place to not really live up to the hype that everyone was saying. The rice rolls were low quality compared to the ones you can get at a classic dim sum spot and not really worth the money. The place is quite tight and limited in seating. I wouldn't go out of my way for this spot.
Best rice roll in queens ny, I've had joes in Chinatown as well.
They're just amazing and a must also I suggest that you plan to do a flushing queens food crawl when possible.
So much amazing food!
My go to spot for shrimp and pork rice rolls, unforunately the wait times get longer everytime I go. I went a few days ago right at opening to grab breakfast, and basically didn't leave with my order until right before lunch time. I tried not to pester staff as I know weekends are very busy for them. I checked in about my order at approx. 45 min into waiting, but was quickly shooed away.
We found this place off a "best of Flushing Chinese food list" and added it to our walking eating tour! It's located at the front of a small food court in the Landmark Quest Mall, at Main St. Subway Station, across from the New World Mall.
In addition to the steamed rice rolls, they're got Chinese crepes and pancakes-basically like scallion pancakes wrapped around your choice of filling.
There is barely any seating, it's definitely a street food, take out, hand held kind of food place (unless you get the noodles).
Although it is in a small mall, it feels a bit like a roadside stall, the place is small and crowded. We ordered the signature 1&2beef rice rolls, and ordered two cups of soy milk, one cold and one hot. The taste of the food is very average. The soy milk with added sugar is better, but the unsweetened one is terrible, very bland, with almost no soy milk taste. Slightly disappointed. I don't quite understand why the evaluation is so high, it may be because the price is relatively cheap and the portion is very large.
This is a busy, hole in the wall, no frills spot for some super soft and fresh made rice rolls. Definitely recommend adding some veggies to your roll for no extra charge. Their chili oil is pretty damn good too. Must go!
Delicious and fast Bing and Rice Rolls. Highly recommended, not much seating because it's a hole in the wall but great price, fast service, and Delicious
Food is good, just have a tight spot to sit on. Wait time is almost an hour. A bit too much on a Saturday.
The attitude is too bad. I said takeaway for half an hour, but I waited for an hour and it still didn't work. If you are too busy, don't say a short time. It is a waste of other people's time.
We visited this restaurant for the first time, and it’s tucked away in a small spot within a shop. The seating area inside is limited, accommodating a maximum of 7-8 people. The rice noodle dish we ordered was exceptionally delicious, but it’s best enjoyed while still hot. Most people get take out here. The prices were reasonable, and we opted for the “Joe’s signature” dish, which we highly recommend. The tasty food and reasonable prices make it a worthwhile dining experience.
The rice rolls were just OK nothing crazy. Very plain. And the place was very dirty we felt bad to order something else. They need to put more effort on hygiene.
#1 Joe's Classic - Very good cheung fun in NY. Soft, silky, smooth, filled with fragrant pieces of sausage, shrimp, coriander, soy sauce and above all, an egg to add to the umami and fragrance. It went down so easily in my mouth.
Check out @bredgyeats for food pictures!
Great rice rolls, no complaints on the taste and quality of Joe's. There is usually a bit of a wait since there is a line and they make everything to order, but that might actually be a plus. Definitely recommend putting chili oil on top of it, my boyfriend has negative spice tolerance and agrees with that. It's a bit hard to find, it's in a small strip mall and immediately on the left. I tried the Shrimp Cheung Fun and the portion was great. It was $10 though - a bit steep for just a rice roll, but not steep if you're comparing it to food prices nowadays in general.
Would recommend!
