John Golden Theatre reviews
13The play was really good. Made u think about life. It was funny and entertaining. I love seeing brothers making legal paper and enjoying themselves. Truly a blessing.
The show was great.didnt understand why their wasnt more restrooms for the capacity it held
I don't believe there's a bad seat in the house. We saw
Top Dog/Underdog. And the theatre was perfect for this play.
Saw topdog underdog from the balcony and the stage was easy to see and the sound was great, and the performance was spectacular
I attended a captivating performance of Top Dig/Under Dog at this theater. The show was excellent and the staff were courteous and professional which only enhanced the experience.
This theatre is so cute & kind of small. The actual theatre is pretty spacious but the entrance is a little tight. The seats are surprisingly roomy & comfortable. I picked a seat where there were no seats directly in front of me b/c I’m tall. The sound quality was lovely & the historical accents on the walls were nice.
It's not a well insulated theatre and you can hear some noise from the streets and the lobby if you sit in rear Orchestra. There's also a very cold draft in that section.
The theatre seats are teeny no matter where you sit. I'm 5'10 average weight but my neighbor was 5'5ish and on the petite side, and also said she was very uncomfortable. I know it's a historic theatre, but they need to renovate within their guidelines to modernize the size of the seats. They were clearly designed for very small people. Given the cost of the seats that can go up to $400+ there's NO way one should be that uncomfortable.
A little old, but still a charming small theater. The seats were surprisingly comfortable. We sat in orchestra row P. It's a good place for a drama or comedy but maybe a little too small for a grand musical.
This movie theater is extraordinary! For the opening night of WaKanda Forever the theater was decorated extra special. There were huge posters of the entire cast and flowers and large images of the Black Panther. In the heart of Broadway, this theater has it all, convenience, atmosphere and ambiance. The seats were amazing as we rented out an entire section! Fascinating night, I look forward to returning here to see more movies in the near future.
Pretty much no matter where u sit its good small theater they sell drinks and lil snacks I would love to go back again in time that's how you feel when you're there sound system was good
The theatre as well as atmosphere is wonderful. Unfortunately, as a woman with several disabilities, I find these two things appalling: there is no elevator, thus requiring me to walk numerous levels of steps as well as the bathroom is located in the basement.
The seating arrangement is perfect. I like that there are no obstructions & pillars blocking the view. Only thing is the seats are as though we are back in the 20's. People were much smaller & shorter then. All of these theaters have no elbow or leg room. Very uncomfortable. The show Top Dog/Underdog was great.
